Application Notes
Lavendamycin was isolated from fermentation broth of Streptomyces lavendulae C-22,030. It had significant antimicrobial and antitumor activities. Further development of lavendamycin as ananticancer agent was halted because of the poor aqueous solubility. Therefore, the synthesis andactivity of lavendamycin analogues were studied.
