Description
Bactobolamine is a synthetic derivative of a Pseudomonas metabolite bactobolin A. Bactobolamine suppresses proliferative lymphocytic responses such as concanavalin A induced lymphoblast formation, and it induces significant prolongation of allograft survival. Low-dose bactobolamine when combined with low-dose tacrorimus prolongs markedly the survival of rat liver allografts. Low-dose bactobolamine when combined with low-dose cyclosporine inhibits the human mixed-lymphocyte reaction.
