Quantification
In this sandwich ELISA, Human Interleukin 13,IL-13 ELISA KIT in the sample is captured between a pre-coated capture antibody and a detection antibody. Signal intensity is proportional to analyte concentration. Quantification uses a standard curve fitted with Curve Expert software, covering 3.12 pg/mL-200 pg/mL with a minimum detectable dose of 0.78 pg/mL.
This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of interleukin-13 (IL-13) in human samples, supporting research into Th2-mediated immune responses, allergic inflammation, and tissue fibrosis. Because circulating IL-13 is typically present at low picogram-per-milliliter concentrations and rises modestly even during active disease, precise detection within a narrow dynamic window is essential for meaningful data.
Detection Range: The 3.12–200 pg/mL range aligns with reported IL-13 levels in human serum and plasma, which rarely exceed low double-digit pg/mL at baseline and may reach the tens-of-pg/mL range during allergic exacerbation or helminth infection. Most samples can be run neat or with minimal dilution, simplifying assay planning for clinical and translational studies.

- The GG genotype of IL-13 130A/G cytokine gene might be involved in the induced production of total IgE and IL-13 cytokine serum levels suggesting IL-13 may be important in the signalling of asthma. PMID: 28083766
- investigated the role of six potentially functional variants of the IL4, IL13, and IL4R genes in gastrointestinal cancer; both IL13 rs20541 and rs1800925 were not associated with gastrointestinal cancer risk for any of the genetic models and subgroup analyses [meta-analysis] PMID: 28142034
- TGF-beta- and IL-13-producing mast cells might be key players in the development of bone marrow fibrosis. PMID: 28159675
