Engineered where standard media fails
Conventional 0.22 µm-filtered media carry mycoplasma-sized particulates (0.2–0.3 µm), subvisible debris, and endotoxin variability that accumulate inside microchannels — corrupting biosensor readings and shortening device lifetimes. FluxMPS™ is built around a filtration train that addresses this at the source.
Microchannel-safe purity
0.04 µm final filter retains particles to sub-mycoplasma size; USP <788> Method 1 particulate compliance verified per batch.
Total metabolic control
Defined glucose, glutamine, and pyruvate concentrations support metabolic flux experiments and Warburg-related applications.
Ultrapure-grade water
Prepared with Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm, ASTM D1193) for low trace-metal and organic-carbon background.
Low background for imaging
Low particulate baseline supports confocal microscopy, live-cell biosensors, and TEER measurements; phenol red content should be accounted for in fluorescence-based assays.
Rich, stable nutrient profile
Micro-batch precision locks in amino acid, vitamin, and trace element concentrations for lot-to-lot reproducibility in long-term perfusion studies.
Customization on demand
pH, glucose, salts, HEPES, and full nutrient composition available on request. Contact support@diagnocine.com.
Quadruple-stage filtration system
FluxMPS™ Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium/ Ham's F-12 Nutrient Mixture (DMEM/F-12) (1:1) with Trace Elements: 1X Liquid is processed through a four-stage, two-pair filtration sequence reaching 0.04 µm — addressing mycoplasma-sized organisms and subvisible particulates that 0.22 µm filtration cannot retain.
-
1
0.1 µm Prefiltration I
Removes large particulates, cell debris and protein aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.
-
2
0.04 µm Final filtration I
First 0.04 µm pass; retains sub-micron particulates and mycoplasma-sized organisms (0.2–0.3 µm) that pass a 0.22 µm filter.
-
3
0.1 µm Prefiltration II
Second dedicated prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm final filter cartridge from breakthrough particulates.
-
4
0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish
Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill and finish in a validated ISO Class 5 laminar-flow workstation.
Performance vs. conventional media
Four sequential stages reaching 0.04 µm deliver approximately 5× cleaner media by particulate count compared to single-pass 0.22 µm filtration.

Designed for next-generation cell culture platforms
FluxMPS™ Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium/ Ham's F-12 Nutrient Mixture (DMEM/F-12) (1:1) with Trace Elements: 1X Liquid is validated for organ-on-a-chip, metabolic research, live-cell imaging, and primary cell models where particulate contamination and endotoxin variation are unacceptable.
Automated Bioreactors & Robotics
An optional 0.01 µm (10 nm) ultra nano-filtered MPS Grade variant is available for automated bioreactor and robotic perfusion systems requiring the ultimate particulate exclusion.
- Total Particulate Exclusion: 10 nm filtration for nanoscale valve and sensor protection
- Valve & Sensor Protection: prevents particulate-induced blockage in precision fluidic systems
- Extended Perfusion Stability: maintains flow rate consistency across multi-week automated runs
Inquiry Required: Contact support@diagnocine.com to request the 0.01 µm MPS Grade variant.
Micro Physiological System (MPS) & Chip
Ultra-filtered formulation prevents microchannel clogging and maintains laminar flow integrity.
Warburg Effect & Metabolic Research
Defined carbon source and low-endotoxin background enables precise metabolic flux analysis.
iPSC-Derived Models
Ultrapure formulation supports sensitive iPSC differentiation protocols where endotoxin causes off-target effects.
Endothelial & Primary Cells
Microchannel-safe purity essential for maintaining endothelial barrier integrity and TEER values.
Metabolic Flux Analysis
Chemically defined base supports isotope tracing (13C, NMR metabolomics); account for baseline glucose, glutamine, and pyruvate levels in flux calculations. Not compatible with Agilent Seahorse XF assays, which require bicarbonate-free, phenol red-free medium.
Microscopy & Optical Sensing
Ultra-low particulate load supports confocal imaging and biosensor integration; phenol red content (8.63 mg/L) may contribute background absorbance for sensitive fluorescence-based assays.
