Description:

All media used in tissue culture have a basis of a synthetic mixture of inorganic salts known as a physiological or balanced salt solution (BSS). Hank's Balanced Salt Solution (HBSS) 1X Without Calcium Chloride, Magnesium Sulfate, and Phenol Red is a specialized cell culture reagent designed for applications requiring controlled ionic balance in low-CO₂ or CO₂-free environments. This formulation excludes components that could precipitate or interfere with specific experimental protocols while maintaining cellular osmotic balance. This formulation omits calcium and magnesium ions to prevent cell aggregation, making it ideal for applications requiring cell dissociation, clumping reduction, or low-density cultures. The exclusion of phenol red eliminates potential interference with light-sensitive assays or cloning efficiency.

All DiagnoCine Precision Sterile buffers are filtered-sterilized with a 0.1-micron filtration two times and 0.04-micron filtration one time. Thus, mycoplasma contamination is prevented.  The smallest size mycoplasma type can be about 0.2 microns.
