Conventional 0.22 µm-filtered balanced salt solutions can carry subvisible particulates, uncontrolled ion content, and residual calcium that interferes with enzymatic dissociation. FluxMPS™ balanced salt solutions are built around a defined, calcium-free ionic profile and multi-stage filtration to protect microchannel geometries and sensitive downstream assays.
Microchannel-safe purity
Sequential 0.1 µm and 0.04 µm membrane filtration, each applied twice, minimizes particulate load relative to single-pass 0.22 µm filtration commonly used in conventional balanced salt solutions.
Calcium-free, magnesium-retained design
The absence of calcium prevents interference with calcium-sensitive enzymatic reactions such as trypsinization, while retained magnesium continues to support ATPase activity and other magnesium-dependent cellular processes.
Ultrapure-grade water

Quadruple-stage filtration system
This buffer is sterile-filtered through a 0.1 µm membrane twice and a 0.04 µm membrane twice — four sequential filtration passes designed to protect enzymatic reagents, microfluidic channels, and downstream assays from particulate and bioburden carry-over.
