Description
PPID(Peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase D) is also named as CYP40, CYPD and belongs to the cyclophilin-type PPIase family,which accelerate the folding of proteins. It catalyzes the cis-trans isomerization of proline imidic peptide bonds in oligopeptides. The inactivation of the Ppid gene rescued the disease phenotype of Col6a1 deficiency.
