What is Embryo Vitrification?

This method involves treating embryos with a high concentration of cryoprotectant and then rapidly freezing and preserving them in liquid nitrogen at -196°C. This method has the advantage that it does not require special equipment and can preserve cells in an intact state because the preservation solution is vitrified (a phenomenon in which the cells become a crystal-free glass-like solid without forming ice crystals).
