Quantification
In this sandwich ELISA, matrix metallopeptidase 9 (gelatinase B, 92kDa gelatinase, 92kDa type IV collagenase) in the sample is captured between a pre-coated capture antibody and a detection antibody. Signal intensity is proportional to analyte concentration. Quantification uses a standard curve fitted with Curve Expert software, covering 0.625 ng/mL-40 ng/mL with a minimum detectable dose of 0.552 ng/mL.
The mouse MMP9 ELISA Kit is engineered for accurate measurement of mouse MMP9 levels from samples including serum, plasma, or tissue homogenates. It uses the Sandwich-ELISA mechanism in combination with the enzyme-substrate chromogenic reaction to measure the MMP9 content in the sample. The color intensity is positively correlated with MMP9 content in the sample. This kit has been validated against standards of sensitivity, specificity, precision, linearity, recovery, and lot-to-lot consistency.
MMP9 is a secreted zinc-dependent extracellular endopeptidase responsible for the cleavage of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins, creating permissive environments for neuronal development and plasticity. It is primarily secreted by neutrophils and macrophages and is involved in the regulation of inflammation in tissue and diseases. MMP9 is also associated with periodontal inflammation and is remarkably increased in chronically infected areas in apical periodontitis. It also mediates and facilitates bone destruction. MMP9 expression declined osteoclast formation and suppressed pro-inflammatory cytokines secretion. In pathophysiological conditions, MMP9 is upregulated during development and wound healing, as well as during pathologies involving inflammatory processes, including diabetes, arthritis, and cancer.

- Seminal vesicles were evaluated by morphological and immunohistochemical parameters; androgenic receptor (AR), Insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGFR-1) and metalloproteinase 9 (MMP-9). Intense AR reactivity was seen in both stroma and epithelial regions in the TRAMP 22 group. Intense IGFR-1 and MMP-9 stromal immunolabeling was identified in both TRAMP groups PMID: 27036326
- The results suggested that the relieving effect of KGLY against LPS-induced ALI might be partially due to suppression of oxidative stress and inflammatory response, inhibition of TLR4-mediated NF-kappaB activation, and down-regulation of MMP9 expression, indicating it may be a potential therapeutic agent for ALI. Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
