The product CSB-E07973h is a sandwich ELISA kit developed to measure levels of human endostatin (ES) in serum, plasma, or tissue homogenates. The enzyme-substrate chromogenic reaction is also used to amplify the signal and quantify the levels of the analyte through the intensity of the colored product. The color intensity positively correlates with the amount of endostatin bound in the initial step.
Endostatin, a 20-kDa C-terminal cleavage product of type XVIII collagen, is an endogenous inhibitor known for its ability to inhibit the proliferation and migration of endothelial cells, angiogenesis, and tumor growth. Studies have proved that circulating endostatin increases significantly in patients with kidney and heart failure and may also contribute to disease progression. Endostatin inhibits angiogenesis by directly binding to both VEGFR1 and VEGFR2 and blocking VEGF interaction with Flt-1 and Flk-1 to prevent VEGF-induced tyrosine phosphorylation of VEGFR1 and VEGFR2 and all downstream signaling events.
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
These standard curves are provided for demonstration only. A standard curve should be generated for each set of samples assayed.
