- World’s cleanest RNase-safe buffer for RNA handling, cell, and molecular biology experiments
DEPC?Ammonium Acetate Buffer is a ready-to-use, DEPC-treated salt solution formulated for nucleic acid precipitation, cleanup, and handling workflows. It provides ammonium acetate in a nuclease-controlled, near?neutral aqueous environment, supporting efficient recovery of RNA and DNA while minimizing RNase activity and leaving only volatile salt residues after drying.
Applications:
- RNA Precipitation: Salt component for ethanol or isopropanol precipitation of RNA from aqueous solutions.
- DNA and RNA Cleanup: Removal of enzymes, unincorporated nucleotides, and other contaminants by alcohol precipitation.
- Concentration of Nucleic Acids: Recovery and concentration of dilute RNA or DNA samples.
- Post?Reaction Cleanup: Precipitation and cleanup after enzymatic reactions such as ligation, RT, or in vitro transcription.
- General Molecular Biology: Any workflow requiring ammonium acetate–based precipitation in a nuclease-reduced environment.
Advantages:
- Nuclease Control: Prepared with DEPC-treated components and nuclease-free water to reduce RNase contamination.
- Efficient Precipitation: Ammonium acetate supports robust nucleic acid precipitation and can be removed easily by drying due to its volatility.
- High Purity: Manufactured from molecular biology–grade reagents and finely filtered to minimize particulates and microbial load.
- Phenol-Free: Enables nucleic acid recovery without organic organic extractions.
- Ready-to-Use 1X: Supplied at working strength to simplify setup and reduce batch-to-batch variability.

All DiagnoCine Precision Sterile buffers are filtered-sterilized with a 0.1-micron filtration and 0.04-micron filtration twice. Thus, mycoplasma contamination is prevented. The smallest size mycoplasma type can be about 0.2 microns.
