Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

Four serial filtration stages reaching a final 0.04 µm polish under ISO Class 5 aseptic conditions.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large aggregates and debris; protects the first 0.04 µm final filter and extends its service life.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

First 0.04 µm pass; retains sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that pass a 0.22 µm filter, including mycoplasma-sized organisms (0.2–0.3 µm).

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated prefilter protecting the second 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill & finish under ISO Class 5 (Class 100) conditions.

Performance vs. conventional media

FluxMPS™ DCP-RPMIGH1X runs a quadruple-stage train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) to a 0.04 µm final cut-off — five times finer than the 0.22 µm membranes used for conventional sterile filtration — with mycoplasma-retentive (0.1 µm) filtration at every production stage.

5.5×
Finer final pore size than standard 0.22 µm filtration (0.04 µm vs 0.22 µm)
4
Serial filtration passes (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2)
Sterility & Mycoplasma: No growth after 14-day incubation (USP <71>); mycoplasma control via 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration (not tested per lot).
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. For applications requiring the 0.01 µm cut-off, contact support@diagnocine.com.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ DCP-RPMIGH1X and its use in OoC and MPS applications.

Yes. DCP-RPMIGH1X is a Microfluidics Suitable medium engineered for MPS and OoC platforms. The 0.04 µm final filtration helps prevent microfluidic channel fouling, making it suitable for OoC, ToC, BoC, and LoC applications sensitive to particulate contamination.
FluxMPS uses a quadruple-stage system (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2), reaching a 0.04 µm final cut-off — five times finer than the 0.22 µm membranes used in conventional sterile filtration — with mycoplasma-retentive (0.1 µm) filtration that standard 0.22 µm processing does not include.
This formulation includes high glucose (4500 mg/L), L-glutamine (300 mg/L), sodium pyruvate (110 mg/L), sodium bicarbonate (2000 mg/L), and 25 mM HEPES for enhanced pH stability during open-well handling. It is provided as a basal medium; supplement with serum, growth factors, or other additives per your protocol.
Yes. The sodium bicarbonate (2000 mg/L) buffering system is formulated to maintain physiological pH 7.4 under standard 5% CO2 incubation. Incubate at 37°C with 5% CO2 unless your protocol specifies otherwise.
Yes. This is a basal medium formulation. Supplement with FBS, serum replacements (e.g., B27, N2), or growth factors as required. For serum or protein-containing additions, use a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF syringe filter; 0.1 µm is appropriate only for defined, protein-free additions. Do not use a 0.04 µm filter for supplements, as it will strip serum of essential lipoproteins and growth factors.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch to a release specification of < 0.05 EU/mL, verified by a Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) assay per USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test (assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL) before each batch is released.
Yes. CoA is available per lot upon request at support@diagnocine.com. It includes pH, osmolality, endotoxin, sterility, USP <788> particulate data, appearance, and full raw material lot traceability.
