FluxMPS™ Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM), Low Glucose w/o Sodium Bicarbonate, Phenol Red: 1X Liquid
FluxMPS™ DCP-DMEML-BR1X is a Microfluidics Suitable, quadruple-stage ultra-filtered (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) 1X liquid DMEM Low Glucose formulation engineered for microphysiological systems (MPS), organ-on-a-chip (OoC), and microfluidic tissue models. A quadruple-stage train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaches a 0.04 µm final cut-off, five times finer than the 0.22 µm membranes used for conventional sterile filtration. Formulated without sodium bicarbonate or phenol red for CO2-independent culture and reduced optical interference in fluorescence-based assays.
- Quadruple-stage filtration train — 0.1 µm ×2 and 0.04 µm ×2 — reaching a 0.04 µm final cut-off for sub-mycoplasma particulate control in microfluidic channels
- Formulated without sodium bicarbonate and without phenol red for CO2-independent culture and reduced optical interference in fluorescence-based assays
- Low Glucose (1000 mg/L D-Glucose) with L-Glutamine (584 mg/L) and Sodium Pyruvate (110 mg/L) for defined metabolic control
- Endotoxin release specification < 0.05 EU/mL, tested per batch by LAL assay (USP <85>)
- 31 verified components across inorganic salts, amino acids, vitamins, and other constituents, with full lot traceability
- Manufactured under an ISO 13485:2016 quality management system; final QC at Diagnocine, Totowa, NJ

Engineered where standard media fails
Conventional 0.22 µm–filtered media passes mycoplasma-sized particulates, subvisible aggregates, and fine debris that can accumulate in microfluidic channels and interfere with optical sensing. FluxMPS™ addresses these failure modes with four-stage sub-0.04 µm filtration.
Microchannel-safe purity
0.04 µm final filtration; USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration) particulate compliance supports safe perfusion across a range of chip geometries.
Total metabolic control
Selective inclusion of L-glutamine and sodium pyruvate with low glucose, and exclusion of sodium bicarbonate and phenol red, for precise nutrient and buffer definition.
Ultrapure-grade water
Ultrapure Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm) with controlled trace-metal and organic-carbon (TOC) content, minimizing feed-water contribution to assay background.
Low background for imaging
Quadruple-stage filtration reduces particulate background, supporting confocal microscopy and biosensor applications.
Rich, stable nutrient profile
31 ingredients verified per lot across inorganic salts, amino acids, and vitamins; micro-batch production with full traceability.
Customization on demand
pH, glucose, salts, HEPES, and nutrients adjustable per your protocol. Contact support@diagnocine.com.
Quadruple-stage filtration system
Four serial filtration stages, run as two paired prefilter and final-filter passes, reach a 0.04 µm final cut-off for sub-mycoplasma particulate control in microfluidic channels.
-
