Artificial cerebrospinal fluid (ACSF) is a physiological salt solution formulated to closely mimic the ionic composition and osmolarity of native cerebrospinal fluid. It is commonly used to maintain the viability and function of brain and spinal cord tissue during ex vivo experiments, such as slice preparation, perfusion, and electrophysiological recordings, typically under continuous oxygenation with carbogen gas.CUSTOMIZATION: Please INQUIRE if other concentrations, additions of chemicals/compounds/proteins/supplements, different pH, and modifications are needed.
