The RWD Osmotic Miniature Infusion Pump is a cost-effective, high-precision drug delivery system designed for long-term, continuous dosing in small laboratory animals such as mice and rats. Engineered to operate for up to 6 weeks, it significantly reduces the need for repeated manual injections, thereby minimizing animal stress and enhancing experimental consistency. The pump can be implanted subcutaneously or intraperitoneally for systemic administration, or connected to a catheter for targeted infusion into specific sites such as blood vessels, the brain, or spinal cord. Its innovative osmotic design features a semi-permeable membrane and a high-pressure salt chamber that absorbs body fluids, gradually compressing the internal drug reservoir to enable a constant and controlled release. This reliable mechanism ensures accurate and sustained infusion, making it ideal for chronic dosing studies, targeted drug delivery experiments, and preclinical research in pharmacology and neuroscience.

The pump can be implanted directly into the peritoneal cavity or the back of the neck to deliver the drug.
Drug delivery can be even for specific tissues, such as vessels, inner brain, spinal cord, lung, liver etc., just by attaching catheters or other accessories.
Size of Pump
Models: 3 sizes, 100ul, 200ul, and 2ml. The pump rate is stable through in-vivo testing.
