This is a high-performance medium that adds TGF-α and other ingredients to the porcine oocyte maturation basic medium (POM:IFP1010P), and is a serum-free basic medium optimized for oocyte maturation. When using this medium, the oocyte maturation rate is almost the same as that of POM medium, but it has been reported that the embryo development rate (blastocyst development rate) after in vitro fertilization is higher (Mito et al.)¹⁾ .

This medium is sterilized, so you can use it as is. When using this medium, oocyte maturation is effectively promoted by culturing in low oxygen (5% O ₂ /5% CO ₂ /90% N ₂, 39℃).

Notes:

For the maturation culture of porcine oocytes, please use HP-POM medium supplemented with 10IU/ml equine chorionic gonadotropin (eCG) + 10IU/ml human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG).
There is no need to add porcine follicular fluid to the medium.
