FluxMPS™ Ham's F-12 Nutrient Mixture w/o L-Glutamine, Sodium Bicarbonate: 1X Liquid

Contains Phenol Red Contains Calcium Contains Magnesium Contains Glucose (1801.60 mg/L) Contains Sodium Pyruvate Without L-Glutamine Without Sodium Bicarbonate

FluxMPS™ DCP-H12-QB1X is a Microfluidics Suitable, ultra-filtered Ham's F-12 formulation engineered for microphysiological systems (MPS), organ-on-a-chip (OoC), and microfluidic tissue models. A quadruple-stage train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaches a 0.04 µm final cut-off, five times finer than the 0.22 µm membranes used for conventional sterile filtration. Formulated without L-glutamine and sodium bicarbonate for CO₂-independent, fresh-glutamine culture systems.

  • 0.04 µm final nano-filtration for sub-mycoplasma-size purity in microfluidic channels below 100 µm
  • Quadruple-stage sequential filtration: 0.1 µm Prefiltration I → 0.04 µm Final filtration I → 0.1 µm Prefiltration II → 0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish
  • Endotoxin release specification < 0.05 EU/mL (LAL, USP <85>), tested per manufacturing batch
  • Formulated without L-glutamine (add fresh at time of use) and without sodium bicarbonate for CO₂-independent buffering with HEPES or another organic buffer
  • Contains 1801.60 mg/L D-glucose, sodium pyruvate, calcium, magnesium, and phenol red as a pH indicator
  • Manufactured under an ISO 13485:2016 quality management system; final QC at the DiagnoCine R&D Center, Totowa, NJ
  • Ultrapure Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm) with controlled trace-metal and TOC content; ISO Class 5 aseptic fill
  • Custom pH, salt, and nutrient adjustments available on request

Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm–filtered media passes mycoplasma-sized particles, subvisible particulates, and micro-aggregates that clog microfluidic channels and interfere with sensor signals. FluxMPS™ addresses these failure modes with four-stage filtration reaching a 0.04 µm final cut-off.

filter_alt

Microchannel-safe purity

0.04 µm final filtration with USP <788> Method 1 particulate compliance, supporting safe perfusion across a wide range of chip geometries.

target

Total metabolic control

L-glutamine and sodium bicarbonate are excluded so you control buffering and nitrogen source addition — supplement with fresh glutamine and HEPES or another organic buffer to match your protocol.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large aggregates, cell debris, and protein aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

First 0.04 µm pass; retains sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that pass a standard 0.22 µm filter.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm cartridge from fouling.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill & finish.

Sterility & Mycoplasma: No growth after 14-day incubation (USP <71>). Mycoplasma control is achieved by 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration (not tested per lot); mycoplasma organisms are approximately 0.2–0.3 µm in diameter.
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. For applications requiring the 0.01 µm cut-off, contact support@diagnocine.com.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ DCP-H12-QB1X.

Yes. DCP-H12-QB1X is processed through a Quadruple-stage filtration system reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size, delivering lower particulate levels for MPS, OoC, tissue-on-a-chip (ToC), and lab-on-a-chip (LoC) platforms. This product is Microfluidics Suitable (0.04 µm); the separate MPS Grade line reaches 0.01 µm.

L-glutamine is omitted so it can be added fresh at time of use, since glutamine degrades in liquid storage. Sodium bicarbonate is omitted to allow CO₂-independent buffering with HEPES or another organic buffer, suited to CO₂-free incubation systems and perfusion bioreactors.
No. This bicarbonate-free formulation is CO₂-independent; buffer pH using HEPES or another organic buffer appropriate to your culture system.
Yes. FBS (commonly 5–10%), serum-free supplements, growth factors, and antibiotics can be added. Filter serum-containing or protein-containing supplements through a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF membrane before addition; do not use 0.04 µm filtration for serum, as it retains lipoproteins and growth factors. Contact support@diagnocine.com for custom co-formulation.
The release specification for every batch of DCP-H12-QB1X is less than 0.05 EU/mL, verified by LAL assay per USP <85> (assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL). Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch; each batch is tested before release and a Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
Yes. A full CoA per batch covers: appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), sterility (USP <71>), endotoxin (USP <85>), mycoplasma control, particulate count (USP <788> Method 1), and raw-material traceability. Request at support@diagnocine.com.
