Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm–filtered media passes mycoplasma-sized particles, subvisible particulates, and aggregates that clog microfluidic channels and interfere with sensor signals. FluxMPS™ reduces these failure modes with four-stage sub-0.04 µm filtration.

filter_alt

Microchannel-safe purity

0.04 µm final filtration paired with USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration) particulate testing supports safe perfusion across chip geometries down to sub-100 µm channel dimensions.

target

Total metabolic control

Defined inclusion of glucose, L-glutamine, sodium pyruvate, and sodium bicarbonate lets you control carbon source and buffering precisely for your assay design.

water_drop

Ultrapure-grade water

Ultrapure Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm) feedstock with trace-metal and organic-carbon (TOC) control minimizes background contamination in sensitive cell-based assays.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large aggregates, cell debris, and protein aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

First 0.04 µm pass; retains sub-micron particulates, including the 0.2–0.3 µm size class associated with mycoplasma, that pass a standard 0.22 µm filter.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated prefilter protecting the second 0.04 µm cartridge, providing full-train redundancy.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filtration prior to aseptic fill and finish.

Sterility & mycoplasma control: No growth after 14-day incubation (USP <71>). Mycoplasma control is achieved through 0.1 µm and 0.04 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration at every stage; mycoplasma organisms (0.2–0.3 µm) are not individually tested per lot by culture or PCR assay unless separately specified.
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ DCP-H12-F1X.

Yes. DCP-H12-F1X is processed through a Quadruple-stage filtration system reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size, delivering an ultra-low particulate baseline for microphysiological systems (MPS), organ-on-a-chip (OoC), tissue-on-a-chip (ToC), body-on-a-chip (BoC), and lab-on-a-chip (LoC) platforms. This product is Microfluidics Suitable; it is not the 0.01 µm MPS Grade line.
FluxMPS™ uses four sequential filters — 0.1 µm Prefiltration I, 0.04 µm Final filtration I, 0.1 µm Prefiltration II, and 0.04 µm Final filtration II (Polish) — delivering a substantially lower particulate baseline than a single 0.22 µm filtration pass, along with mycoplasma-retentive filtration at every 0.1 µm and 0.04 µm stage.
Folic acid is not added to this formulation, making it suitable for experiments studying folate metabolism, DHFR-mediated methotrexate resistance, and CHO cell DHFR selection systems where residual folic acid would confound results. If your protocol requires folic acid, supplement it directly or select a standard Ham's F-12 formulation that includes it.
Yes. This formulation is buffered with sodium bicarbonate (1176 mg/L) and is designed for use in a CO₂ incubator at approximately 5% CO₂ to help maintain pH 7.4; validate the exact set point for your specific incubator and vessel.
Yes. FBS (typically 5–10%), serum-free supplements, growth factors, antibiotics, or custom nutrients can be added. Filter serum-containing or protein-containing supplements through a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF filter before addition; do not use a 0.04 µm filter for serum, as it will retain lipoproteins and clog. Contact support@diagnocine.com for custom co-formulation.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch. Every batch is tested by LAL assay (USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test; assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL) prior to release and must meet the specification of less than 0.05 EU/mL. A Certificate of Analysis reporting the batch result is available on request.
Yes. A full CoA per batch covers: appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), sterility (USP <71>), endotoxin (USP <85>), mycoplasma filtration status, particulate count (USP <788> Method 1), and raw-material traceability. Request at support@diagnocine.com.
