Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm filtered media allows mycoplasma (0.2–0.3 µm), sub-visible particulates, and microaggregates to pass freely — clogging microchannels, corrupting biosensors, and invalidating metabolic assays. FluxMPS™ closes that gap.

Microchannel-safe purity

0.04 µm final filtration reduces sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that can obstruct narrow microfluidic channels.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

A validated four-stage sequential filtration train reaching a final pore size of 0.04 µm — addressing particulates and mycoplasma-sized contaminants that pass through standard 0.22 µm filtration.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large particulates, cell debris, and protein aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm final filter.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

First 0.04 µm pass; retains sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that pass a 0.22 µm filter.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill & finish in a controlled ISO Class 5 environment.

Performance vs. conventional media

By USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration), FluxMPS™ is designed to deliver substantially fewer particles ≥10 µm than standard 0.22 µm filtered media — a meaningful difference for long-duration microfluidic perfusion.

Sterility & Mycoplasma: 14-day USP <71> sterility tested per lot. Mycoplasma risk is controlled by 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration (not tested per lot); typical mycoplasma diameter is 0.2–0.3 µm.
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM), 25mM HEPES w/o Glucose, Sodium Pyruvate: 1X Liquid (DCP-DMEMH-GP1X).

DCP-DMEMH-GP1X is Microfluidics Suitable and engineered for organ-on-a-chip, microfluidic, and MPS applications. The 0.04 µm final filtration reduces sub-micron particulates that cause microchannel clogging in standard 0.22 µm media, and the 0.1 µm stages provide mycoplasma-retentive filtration.
Four sequential stages (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) address mycoplasma-sized organisms (0.2–0.3 µm diameter), sub-visible particulates, and bioburden largely missed by conventional 0.22 µm filters, tested by USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration).
DCP-DMEMH-GP1X is formulated without glucose or sodium pyruvate to enable precise metabolic control — including Warburg-effect studies, glycolysis inhibition, and ¹³C carbon-source tracing. Add D-glucose at your desired concentration (typically 1-4.5 g/L) or substitute galactose or pyruvate as your assay requires. Contact support@diagnocine.com for pre-supplemented variants.
This medium contains 44 mM sodium bicarbonate (3700 mg/L). To hold pH 7.4 with that bicarbonate concentration requires approximately 10% CO&sub2;, not the 5% CO&sub2; typical of lower-bicarbonate formulations. The 25 mM HEPES present provides additional buffering capacity for brief periods outside the incubator.
Yes. DCP-DMEMH-GP1X is a basal medium compatible with FBS, human serum, growth factors, and antibiotics. Pre-filter serum-containing additions through a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF syringe filter (defined, protein-free additions may use 0.1 µm) before combining with the medium.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch, not per unit. Every batch is tested by LAL assay (USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test; assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL) and must meet the release specification of < 0.05 EU/mL before distribution. Lot-specific results are available on the CoA — request at support@diagnocine.com.
Yes — a full CoA per lot includes: lot number, expiry, appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), endotoxin (USP <85>), sterility (USP <71>), and particulate testing (USP <788>). Email support@diagnocine.com.
