FluxMPS™ Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM), 25mM HEPES w/o Glucose, L-Glutamine, Sodium Pyruvate: 1X Liquid
Microfluidics Suitable, quadruple-stage ultra-filtered (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) 1X liquid cell culture medium engineered for microfluidic channels, organ-on-a-chip (OoC), and microphysiological systems (MPS). Manufactured under ISO 13485:2016 in an ISO Class 5 fill environment using Ultrapure Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm). A quadruple-stage train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaches a 0.04 µm final cut-off, five times finer than the 0.22 µm membranes used for conventional sterile filtration.
- Quadruple-stage filtration to a 0.04 µm final cut-off (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) — validated mycoplasma-retentive polishing for microfluidic channels
- Endotoxin release specification: < 0.05 EU/mL (LAL, USP <85> BET), tested per manufacturing batch
- Formulated without glucose, L-glutamine, or sodium pyruvate — define your own carbon source and nitrogen supplementation
- Buffered with 3700 mg/L sodium bicarbonate plus 25 mM HEPES for flexible CO2-incubator or bench-top use
- 4× BME amino acid and vitamin concentrations for extended microphysiological system (MPS) perfusion
- Manufactured under an ISO 13485:2016 quality management system; aseptic fill & finish at Diagnocine, Totowa, NJ

Engineered where standard media fails
Conventional 0.22 µm filtered media allows mycoplasma (0.2–0.3 µm), sub-visible particulates, and microaggregates to pass freely — clogging microchannels, corrupting biosensors, and invalidating metabolic assays. FluxMPS™ closes that gap.
Microchannel-safe purity
Quadruple-stage filtration reaches a 0.04 µm final cut-off, with particulate levels controlled per USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration), supporting reliable flow in narrow microfluidic channels.
Total metabolic control
Precisely defined carbon sources enable Warburg-effect studies, glycolysis inhibition, and 13C metabolic tracing without background noise.
Ultrapure-grade water
Prepared with Ultrapure Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm) — supporting low trace-metal and organic-carbon (TOC) background for sensitive assay readouts.
Low background for imaging
Ultra-low particulate baseline supports confocal live-cell imaging, fluorescent biosensors, and automated high-content analysis on chip.
Rich, stable nutrient profile
4× BME amino acid and vitamin concentrations with micro-batch precision — consistent lot-to-lot composition for long-duration MPS perfusion.
Customization on demand
pH, glucose, HEPES, salts, and nutrients adjusted on request. Contact support@diagnocine.com.
Quadruple-stage filtration system
A validated four-stage sequential filtration train reaching a final pore size of 0.04 µm — engineered to reduce sub-micron particulates and microaggregates beyond what 0.22 µm filtration captures.
-
1
0.1 µm Prefiltration I
Removes large particulates, cell debris, and protein aggregates. Protects the first 0.04 µm cartridge and preserves microchannel chip geometries.
-
2
0.04 µm Final filtration I
Retains fine particulates and mycoplasma-range bioburden (0.2–0.3 µm) — entirely absent from standard 0.22 µm media.
-
3
0.1 µm Prefiltration II
A second, dedicated prefilter protects the second 0.04 µm cartridge, giving the train full redundancy.
-
4
0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish
Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill in a validated ISO Class 5 (Class 100) laminar-flow workstation.
Performance vs. conventional media
The quadruple-stage train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reduces particulate and bioburden risk beyond standard 0.22 µm-filtered media, supporting reliable long-duration perfusion in microfluidic and organ-on-a-chip systems.
