Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm–filtered media passes mycoplasma-sized particles, subvisible particulates, and endotoxin-bearing debris that can foul microfluidic channels and interfere with sensor readouts. FluxMPS™ targets these failure modes with four-stage filtration down to a 0.04 µm final pore size.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

The train runs as two dedicated prefilter-plus-final-filter pairs: each 0.04 µm final filter is protected by its own 0.1 µm prefilter.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large aggregates and particulates; protects the first 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

Retains fine particulates and mycoplasma-sized organisms (0.2–0.3 µm) not captured by standard 0.22 µm filtration.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Final polishing filter; aseptic fill in ISO Class 5 (Class 100) laminar-flow workstations.

Performance vs. conventional media

Sterility & Mycoplasma: No growth after 14-day incubation (USP <71>). Mycoplasma risk is mitigated by 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration at every prefiltration stage (not tested per lot); mycoplasma organisms are typically 0.2–0.3 µm in diameter.
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. For applications requiring the 0.01 µm cut-off, contact support@diagnocine.com.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ DCP-DMEML-QPR1X.

Yes. DCP-DMEML-QPR1X is Microfluidics Suitable, processed through a Quadruple-stage filtration system reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2), delivering low particulate levels suited to MPS, OoC, tissue-on-a-chip (ToC), body-on-a-chip (BoC), and lab-on-a-chip (LoC) platforms.
FluxMPS™ uses four sequential filtration passes — 0.1 µm prefiltration I, 0.04 µm final filtration I, 0.1 µm prefiltration II, and 0.04 µm final filtration II (polish) — each 0.04 µm final filter protected by its own dedicated 0.1 µm prefilter.
Phenol red is excluded to remove a spectrally active dye that can interfere with fluorescence- and absorbance-based assays. L-glutamine and sodium pyruvate are excluded so you can add fresh L-glutamine (or a stable dipeptide substitute) and, if needed, sodium pyruvate at the time of use, since L-glutamine degrades in liquid storage. This gives a clean optical and metabolic baseline for live-cell imaging on OoC platforms. Contact support@diagnocine.com for supplementation guidance specific to your cell type.
Yes. This formulation contains sodium bicarbonate (3700 mg/L) as its buffering system, which requires approximately 10% CO₂ to maintain a stable pH of 7.4 in a humidified incubator. Validate the CO₂ set-point for your specific incubator and cell line.
Yes. Fetal bovine serum (typically 5–10%), growth factors, antibiotics, or custom nutrients can be added. When filtering serum-containing supplements after addition, use a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF filter — a 0.04 µm membrane is not appropriate for serum, as it retains immunoglobulins, lipoproteins, and other high-molecular-weight serum components. Contact support@diagnocine.com for custom co-formulation.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch. Every batch is tested by LAL assay (USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test; assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL) and must meet the release specification of < 0.05 EU/mL before release. A Certificate of Analysis reporting the batch result is available on request.
Yes. A full CoA per batch covers appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), sterility (USP <71>), endotoxin (USP <85>), mycoplasma risk-mitigation filtration, particulate count (USP <788> Method 1), and raw-material traceability, along with lot number and expiry.
