FluxMPS™ RPMI 1640 Medium w/o Glutamine: 1X Liquid
Microfluidics Suitable, quadruple-stage ultra-filtered (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) 1X liquid RPMI 1640 medium formulated without L-glutamine for fresh, on-demand nitrogen addition. A quadruple-stage train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaches a 0.04 µm final cut-off, five times finer than the 0.22 µm membranes used for conventional sterile filtration. Formulation: [+] 2.0 g/L Glucose, [+] Sodium Pyruvate, [+] Sodium Bicarbonate, [+] Phenol Red | [-] L-Glutamine.
- High-glucose formulation (2.0 g/L D-Glucose) with sodium pyruvate (110 mg/L) providing a defined, adjustable carbon source for lymphocyte and hematopoietic energy metabolism
- Glutathione (reduced), 1.0 mg/L, included for redox and antioxidant support in redox-sensitive immune cell types
- L-Glutamine omitted so it can be added fresh at time of use, avoiding storage-related ammonia accumulation during extended lymphocyte culture
- Quadruple-stage filtration (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size, well below the 0.2–0.3 µm mycoplasma size range
- Endotoxin release specification: < 0.05 EU/mL (LAL, USP <85>), controlled per manufacturing batch
- Manufactured under an ISO 13485:2016 quality management system with a per-lot Certificate of Analysis
- Phenol red (5.3 mg/L) and sodium bicarbonate (2.0 g/L) retained for visual pH monitoring and 5% CO₂ buffering
- Custom pH, nutrient, and salt modifications available on request — contact support@diagnocine.com

Engineered where standard media fails
Conventional 0.22 µm–filtered RPMI passes mycoplasma-sized particles, subvisible particulates, and manufacturing residues that can confound sensitive immune cell assays and clog microfluidic channels. FluxMPS™ addresses these gaps through a validated, redundant filtration train.
Microchannel-safe purity
0.04 µm final filtration with USP <788> Method 1 particulate compliance delivers particulate-controlled media for suspension immune cell OoC and flow cytometry workflows.
Metabolic support for lymphocytes
2.0 g/L D-glucose and 110 mg/L sodium pyruvate provide a defined, adjustable carbon source for T cell, B cell, and NK cell energy metabolism studies.
Ultrapure-grade water
Processed with Ultrapure Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm) under controlled trace-metal and organic-carbon (TOC) limits, supporting consistent lot-to-lot performance.
Low background for imaging
0.04 µm filtration reduces particulate baseline for confocal microscopy and biosensor-integrated OoC platforms. This formulation is phenol red–containing; a phenol red–free custom variant is available for fluorescence-sensitive assays.
Rich, stable nutrient profile
40 verified components across amino acids, vitamins, inorganic salts, and glutathione (reduced) support demanding lymphocyte and hematopoietic cell requirements, delivered particulate-controlled for OoC use.
Customization on demand
pH, glucose concentration, salts, HEPES buffering, and nutrient composition available on request. Contact support@diagnocine.com.
