Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm filtered media allows mycoplasma (typical diameter 0.2–0.3 µm), sub-visible particulates, and microaggregates to pass freely — clogging microchannels, corrupting biosensors, and complicating metabolic assays. FluxMPS™ closes that gap.

filter_alt

Microchannel-safe purity

A 0.04 µm final filter supports unobstructed flow through narrow microfluidic channels and reduces sub-visible particulate carryover into the chip.

target

Total metabolic control

Precisely defined carbon sources enable Warburg-effect studies, glycolysis inhibition, and ¹³C metabolic tracing.

water_drop

Ultrapure-grade water

Prepared with Ultrapure Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm) under trace-metal and organic-carbon (TOC) controlled conditions.

visibility

Low background for imaging

Ultra-low particulate baseline supports confocal live-cell imaging, fluorescent biosensors, and automated high-content analysis on chip.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

A validated four-stage sequential filtration train reaching a final pore size of 0.04 µm — engineered to capture particulates and bioburden that 0.22 µm filtration misses.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large particulates, cell debris, and protein aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

First 0.04 µm pass; retains sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that pass a conventional 0.22 µm filter.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

A second, dedicated prefilter protecting the second 0.04 µm final-filter cartridge.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill and finish in a validated ISO Class 5 (Class 100) laminar-flow environment.

Performance vs. conventional media

Compared with standard 0.22 µm-filtered media, this quadruple-stage train is manufactured to yield substantially fewer sub-visible particulates by light-obscuration particle count (USP <788> Method 1) — a meaningful difference for long-duration microfluidic perfusion.

Sterility & Mycoplasma: 14-day USP <71> sterility tested per batch. Mycoplasma risk is controlled by 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration (not tested per lot). Typical mycoplasma diameter is 0.2–0.3 µm, above the 0.04 µm final filter cut-off.
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ Leibovitz's L-15 Medium w/o L-Glutamine: 1X Liquid (DCP-LL15-Q1X).

Yes. DCP-LL15-Q1X is manufactured for organ-on-a-chip, microfluidic, and MPS applications. The 0.04 µm final filtration removes mycoplasma-range and sub-micron particulates that cause microchannel clogging in standard 0.22 µm media.
Four sequential passes (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) retain mycoplasma-range material (typical diameter 0.2–0.3 µm) and sub-visible particulates entirely missed by conventional 0.22 µm filters, assessed by light-obscuration particle count (USP <788> Method 1).
L-Glutamine degrades in liquid storage, so this formulation is supplied without it for user-controlled supplementation at time of use. Add L-glutamine (typically 2–4 mM) or a stabilized dipeptide substitute according to your cell line's requirements. Custom pre-supplemented formulations are available at support@diagnocine.com.
No. This formulation contains no sodium bicarbonate and is CO2-independent, suitable for ambient-air incubation. Adding 10–25 mM HEPES can further improve pH stability during extended bench-top or on-chip culture.
Yes. DCP-LL15-Q1X is a basal medium compatible with FBS (2–10%), human serum, L-glutamine, growth factors (EGF, FGF, VEGF), and antibiotics. Pre-filter all serum- or protein-containing additions through a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF filter before combining — never a 0.04 µm membrane, which strips serum of the proteins and lipoproteins it needs to function.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch, not per unit. Every batch is tested by LAL assay (USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test; assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL) and must meet the release specification of < 0.05 EU/mL before release. Lot-specific values are reported on the Certificate of Analysis — request at support@diagnocine.com.
Yes — a full CoA per lot is available and includes: lot number, expiry, appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), endotoxin (USP <85>), sterility (USP <71>), and mycoplasma-retentive filtration confirmation. Email support@diagnocine.com.
