Engineered where standard media fails
Conventional 0.22 µm–filtered media passes mycoplasma-sized particles, subvisible particulates, and microaggregates that clog microfluidic channels and interfere with sensitive assays. FluxMPS™ reduces these failure modes with a validated quadruple-stage filtration train reaching a 0.04 µm final cut-off.
Microchannel-safe purity
0.04 µm final filtration with USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration) particulate compliance supports safe perfusion in narrow chip geometries.
Total metabolic control
This formulation carries glucose, L-glutamine, and sodium pyruvate as defined energy substrates, with sodium bicarbonate deliberately excluded for CO2-independent buffering.
Ultrapure-grade water
Ultrapure Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm) with low trace-metal and organic carbon (TOC) content, supporting consistent formulation quality lot to lot.
Low background for imaging
Ultra-low particulate baseline supports confocal microscopy and biosensor workflows. Note: this formulation contains phenol red (1.24 mg/L) — see Composition for full detail.
Rich, stable nutrient profile
46 ingredients verified per lot across inorganic salts, amino acids, vitamins, and other constituents; micro-batch production with full traceability.

Quadruple-stage filtration system
Four serial filtration stages, run as two dedicated prefilter-plus-final-filter pairs, reaching a final 0.04 µm polish under aseptic fill conditions.
-
1
0.1 µm Prefiltration I
Removes large aggregates and particulates; protects the first 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.
-
2
0.04 µm Final filtration I
First 0.04 µm pass; retains mycoplasma-sized particles (0.2–0.3 µm) and sub-micron particulates not addressed by standard 0.22 µm filtration.
-
3
0.1 µm Prefiltration II
Second, dedicated prefilter that protects the second 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.
-
4
0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish
Ultimate polishing filter prior to aseptic fill & finish.
Performance vs. conventional media
FluxMPS™ DCP-H12-B1X is filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off across four stages, delivering approximately 5× lower particulate counts by particle count versus standard 0.22 µm–filtered media.
