FluxMPS™ Ham's F-12 Nutrient Mixture w/o L-Glutamine, Phenol Red: 1X Liquid

Contains Sodium Bicarbonate Contains Calcium Contains Magnesium Contains 1801.60 mg/L Glucose Contains Sodium Pyruvate Without L-Glutamine Without Phenol Red

FluxMPS™ DCP-H12-QR1X is a Microfluidics Suitable, Quadruple-stage ultra-filtered Ham's F-12 Nutrient Mixture engineered for microphysiological systems (MPS), organ-on-a-chip (OoC), and microfluidic tissue models. A quadruple-stage train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaches a 0.04 µm final cut-off, five times finer than the 0.22 µm membranes used for conventional sterile filtration. Formulated without L-glutamine (for fresh supplementation) and without phenol red (for autofluorescence-free imaging), with 1801.60 mg/L D-glucose and 110.10 mg/L sodium pyruvate as defined carbon sources.

  • Quadruple-stage filtration train (0.1 µm → 0.04 µm → 0.1 µm → 0.04 µm) delivers ultra-low particulate counts suited to microfluidic channels below 100 µm
  • Endotoxin release specification < 0.05 EU/mL, confirmed by LAL assay (USP <85>) on every manufacturing batch
  • Formulated without L-glutamine and phenol red for fresh nutrient supplementation and autofluorescence-free imaging workflows
  • Contains 1801.60 mg/L D-glucose and 110.10 mg/L sodium pyruvate as defined carbon sources, plus 1176 mg/L sodium bicarbonate buffering
  • Manufactured under an ISO 13485:2016 quality management system with full lot traceability and per-batch Certificate of Analysis

Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm–filtered media passes mycoplasma, subvisible particulates, and endotoxin fragments that clog microfluidic channels and corrupt sensor signals. FluxMPS™ mitigates these failure modes with a four-stage sub-0.04 µm filtration train.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

Four serial filtration stages — two dedicated prefilter-plus-final-filter pairs — reach a final 0.04 µm polish, delivering ultra-low particulate media for microfluidic channels and organ-on-a-chip devices.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large aggregates, cell debris, and protein aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

First 0.04 µm pass; retains sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that pass a standard 0.22 µm filter.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill & finish in ISO Class 5 (Class 100) conditions.

Sterility & Mycoplasma: No growth after 14-day incubation (USP <71>). Mycoplasma (0.2–0.3 µm) risk is mitigated by 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration (not tested per lot).
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ DCP-H12-QR1X.

Yes. DCP-H12-QR1X is processed through a Quadruple-stage filtration system reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size, delivering ultra-low particulate media suitable for MPS, OoC, tissue-on-a-chip (ToC), and lab-on-a-chip (LoC) platforms.

Phenol red is removed to eliminate autofluorescence for imaging and biosensor applications. L-glutamine is removed so it can be added fresh at the time of use (it degrades in liquid storage), typically at 1–4 mM, or supplied as a stabilized dipeptide such as GlutaMAX at the researcher's discretion. This formulation already contains 1801.60 mg/L glucose and 110.10 mg/L sodium pyruvate as carbon sources, so these do not need to be added.
This formulation contains 1176 mg/L (14 mM) sodium bicarbonate. Based on the Henderson-Hasselbalch relationship, maintaining pH 7.4 with this bicarbonate concentration requires approximately 3% CO₂ in a humidified incubator. Validate empirically for your specific incubator and cell line.
Yes. Add FBS (typically 5–10%), serum-free supplements, growth factors, antibiotics, or L-glutamine as required. When filtering serum-containing or protein-containing supplements post-mixing, use a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF membrane — never 0.04 µm, which retains IgM, VLDL, and much of the lipid/lipoprotein fraction of serum. Contact support@diagnocine.com for custom co-formulation.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch by LAL assay (USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test, assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL). Every batch is tested before release and must meet the release specification of < 0.05 EU/mL. This is a batch-level specification, not a per-unit certificate; a Certificate of Analysis for your specific lot is available on request.
Yes. A full CoA per batch covers: appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), sterility (USP <71>), endotoxin (USP <85>), mycoplasma-retentive filtration status, particulate count (USP <788> Method 1), and raw-material traceability. Request at support@diagnocine.com.
