Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm–filtered media passes mycoplasma-sized organisms, subvisible particulates, and endotoxin-bearing fragments that clog microfluidic channels and corrupt sensor signals. FluxMPS™ reduces these risks with four-stage sub-0.04 µm filtration.

filter_alt

Microchannel-safe purity

0.04 µm final filtration; USP <788> particulate limits (NMT 25/mL ≥10 µm, NMT 3/mL ≥25 µm) support perfusion across common chip geometries.

target

Total metabolic control

Selective inclusion/exclusion of glutamine, pyruvate, and bicarbonate across the FluxMPS™ line for precise nutrient and buffer definition per protocol.

water_drop

Ultrapure-grade water

Ultrapure Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm) with controlled trace-metal and total organic carbon (TOC) content, reducing feedwater contribution to lot-to-lot formulation variability.

visibility

Low background for imaging

Ultra-low particulate baseline (0.04 µm final filtration) supports confocal microscopy and biosensor-based assays. Note: this formulation contains phenol red (1.24 mg/L) and is not phenol red–free.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

Four serial filtration stages reaching a final 0.04 µm polish under ISO Class 5 aseptic conditions — delivering particulate and mycoplasma control not achievable with standard 0.22 µm filtration.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large aggregates and particulates; protects the first 0.04 µm cartridge downstream.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

Retains mycoplasma-sized organisms (0.2–0.3 µm) and fine particulates that pass standard 0.22 µm filtration.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm cartridge and providing process redundancy.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filtration; aseptic fill & finish under ISO Class 5 conditions.

Sterility & Mycoplasma: No growth after 14-day incubation (USP <71>). Mycoplasma control is achieved through 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration at every production stage (not tested per lot via USP <63>).
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ DCP-H12-Q1X.

Yes. DCP-H12-Q1X is Microfluidics Suitable, processed through a Quadruple-stage filtration system reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size, suitable for MPS, OoC, tissue-on-a-chip (ToC), and lab-on-a-chip (LoC) platforms.

L-glutamine is omitted to allow fresh addition at time of use (typically 2 mM), preventing spontaneous degradation during storage. This is standard practice for Ham's F-12 in extended serum-free CHO culture, minimizing ammonia accumulation from glutamine breakdown.
This formulation contains sodium bicarbonate (1176 mg/L, 14 mM) as its buffering system. At this concentration, maintaining pH 7.4 requires approximately 3% CO₂ in the incubator atmosphere; validate against your specific incubator and headspace conditions.
Yes. FBS (typically 5–10%), serum-free supplements, growth factors, antibiotics, or custom nutrients may be added. Because serum and protein-containing supplements can foul a 0.04 µm membrane, filter these additions separately through a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF filter before combining with the base medium. Contact support@diagnocine.com for custom co-formulation.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch rather than per unit. Every batch is tested by LAL assay (USP <85>, assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL) prior to release and must meet the specification of < 0.05 EU/mL. A Certificate of Analysis stating the batch result is available on request.
Yes. A full CoA per lot covers: appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), sterility (USP <71>), endotoxin (USP <85>), mycoplasma control statement, particulate count (USP <788> Method 1, light obscuration), and raw-material traceability. Request at support@diagnocine.com.
