FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose w/o Phenol Red: 1X Liquid
FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose w/o Phenol Red: 1X Liquid is a Microfluidics Suitable, ultra-filtered cell culture medium engineered for organ-on-a-chip (OoC), tissue-on-a-chip (ToC), and microphysiological system (MPS) applications. A quadruple-stage train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaches a 0.04 µm final cut-off, five times finer than the 0.22 µm membranes used for conventional sterile filtration.
- High-glucose (4.5 g/L) Minimum Essential Medium (MEM) formulated without phenol red for imaging and biosensor compatibility
- Quadruple-stage filtration train: 0.1 µm → 0.04 µm → 0.1 µm → 0.04 µm, reaching a 0.04 µm final cut-off
- Endotoxin release specification: < 0.05 EU/mL (LAL, USP <85> BET), controlled per manufacturing batch

Engineered where standard media fails
Conventional 0.22 µm-filtered media carry mycoplasma-sized particulates (0.2–0.3 µm), subvisible debris, and batch-to-batch endotoxin variation that accumulate inside microchannels — corrupting biosensor readings, stressing primary cultures, and shortening device lifetimes. FluxMPS™ is built to address these failure modes at the filtration level.
Microchannel-safe purity
A 0.04 µm final filter and a 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive prefilter stage reduce sub-micron particulate load; USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration) compliance is verified per lot.
High-glucose metabolic support
4.5 g/L glucose supports high-energy-demand cell types including HeLa, MCF-7, fibroblasts, and iPSC-derived models in perfusion devices.
Ultrapure-grade water
Prepared with Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm), supporting low trace-metal and organic-carbon (TOC) content in the finished medium.
Low background for imaging
Quadruple-stage filtration minimizes particulate background, supporting confocal microscopy, live-cell biosensor, and TEER-based workflows.
Rich, stable nutrient profile
Balanced amino acid and vitamin profile plus micro-batch precision ensures reproducible nutrient delivery across production lots.
Customization on demand
pH, glucose, salts, HEPES, and full nutrient composition available on request. Contact support@diagnocine.com.
Quadruple-stage filtration system
FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose w/o Phenol Red: 1X Liquid is processed through a four-stage serial filtration sequence — two 0.1 µm/0.04 µm prefilter-and-final-filter pairs in series — reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size.
-
1
0.1 µm Prefiltration I
Removes large particulates, cell debris, and protein aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.
-
2
0.04 µm Final filtration I
First 0.04 µm pass; retains sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that a 0.22 µm filter allows through.
-
3
0.1 µm Prefiltration II
Second dedicated prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm cartridge and providing full-train redundancy.
-
4
0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish
Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill & finish performed in a validated ISO Class 5 laminar-flow workstation.
Performance vs. conventional media
Four sequential stages reaching a 0.04 µm final cut-off deliver approximately 5× cleaner media by particulate count compared to single-pass 0.22 µm filtration, with USP <788> Method 1 compliance verified on every production lot.
