Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm filtered media allows mycoplasma (0.2–0.3 µm), sub-visible particulates, and microaggregates to pass freely — clogging microchannels, corrupting biosensors, and invalidating metabolic assays. FluxMPS™ closes that gap.

filter_alt

Microchannel-safe purity

A 0.04 µm final filtration stage removes sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that pass through conventional 0.22 µm filters, supporting unobstructed flow in narrow microfluidic channels.

Total metabolic control

Precisely defined carbon sources enable Warburg-effect studies, glycolysis inhibition, and ¹³C metabolic tracing.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

This formulation is manufactured with a validated four-stage sequential filtration train reaching a final pore size of 0.04 µm — well beyond the reach of conventional 0.22 µm filtration.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large particulates, cell debris, and protein aggregates. Protects the first 0.04 µm cartridge and preserves microchannel chip geometries.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

Retains fine particulates and sub-micron material, including 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration — entirely absent from standard 0.22 µm media.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

A second, dedicated prefilter protecting the second 0.04 µm cartridge for redundant filtration capacity.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill in a validated ISO Class 5 (Class 100) laminar-flow workstation.

Performance vs. conventional media

A quadruple-stage train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaches a 0.04 µm final cut-off, five times finer than the 0.22 µm membranes used for conventional sterile filtration.

Sterility & Mycoplasma: 14-day USP <71> sterility tested per lot. The 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive final filtration stages provide contamination risk mitigation (not tested per lot to USP <63>). Mycoplasma range approximately 0.2–0.3 µm in diameter, above the 0.04 µm filtration cut-off.
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. For applications requiring the 0.01 µm cut-off, contact support@diagnocine.com.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM), 25mM HEPES w/o Glucose, Sodium Bicarbonate: 1X Liquid (DCP-DMEMH-GB1X).

Yes. DCP-DMEMH-GB1X is manufactured with a four-stage filtration train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size, including 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive stages that reduce the sub-micron particulate load which causes microchannel clogging in standard 0.22 µm-filtered media.
Four sequential stages (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) provide mycoplasma-retentive filtration and sub-visible particulate removal beyond what a single 0.22 µm filtration pass achieves, tested per USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration).
This formulation is manufactured without glucose to enable precise control of the carbon source for Warburg-effect studies, glycolysis inhibition, and ¹³C carbon-source tracing. Add D-glucose at your desired concentration (typically 1–4.5 g/L) to meet your assay requirements. This medium already contains 110 mg/L sodium pyruvate as a supplementary carbon source. Contact support@diagnocine.com for pre-supplemented variants.
No. DCP-DMEMH-GB1X contains no sodium bicarbonate and is buffered with 25 mM HEPES, making it suitable for CO₂-independent culture systems. Validate CO₂ requirements for your specific cell line; bicarbonate-buffered variants are available on request.
Yes. This basal medium is compatible with FBS (2–10%), human serum, GlutaMAX, EGF, FGF, VEGF, and antibiotics. Pre-filter serum and protein-containing additions through a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF filter before combining; defined, protein-free additions may be filtered through 0.1 µm.
Each batch is released against a specification of < 0.05 EU/mL, tested by LAL assay per USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test (assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL). Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch; the lot-specific result is reported on the Certificate of Analysis — request at support@diagnocine.com.
Yes — a full CoA is available per lot, including lot number, expiry, appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), endotoxin (USP <85>), and sterility (USP <71>). Email support@diagnocine.com.
