Antigen Characterization
- Type: Primary
- Application: Western Blot (WB),ELISA,Immunohistochemistry (IHC),Immunofluorescence (IF)
- Species: Human, Mouse
- Recombinant: Yes
Human Diseases
- B-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL): MEF2D is overexpressed and contributes to tumor progression and poor prognosis. Its knockdown has been shown to inhibit cell viability and induce apoptosis in B-ALL cells.
- Hepatocellular Carcinoma (HCC): MEF2D promotes invasion and metastasis of cancer cells.
- Colorectal Cancer: Involved in enhancing cancer cell invasion and is associated with poor clinical outcomes.
- Nasal Type Extranodal NK/T-cell Lymphoma: Associated with the pathogenesis of this lymphoma type.
Cellular Signaling Pathways
- PI3K-AKT Pathway: MEF2D influences this pathway, which is critical for cell survival and proliferation, particularly in B-ALL.
- MAPK Signaling Pathway: Implicated in various cellular responses including growth, differentiation, and apoptosis.
- Calcium Signaling Pathway: MEF2D plays a role in calcium-dependent processes, affecting neuronal differentiation and muscle formation.
- Wnt Signaling Pathway: Involved in regulating gene expression during development and cancer progression.
Aliases for MEF2D Gene
- Myocyte Enhancer Factor 2D 2 3 5
- Myocyte-Specific Enhancer Factor 2D 3 4
- MADS Box Transcription Enhancer Factor 2, Polypeptide D 3
