Contains L-Glutamine Contains Phenol Red Contains 25mM HEPES Contains Calcium Contains Magnesium Contains High Glucose Without Sodium Bicarbonate Without Sodium Pyruvate

FluxMPS™ DCP-RPMIGH-PB1X is a Microfluidics Suitable, quadruple-stage ultra-filtered (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) 1X liquid RPMI 1640 medium engineered for organ-on-a-chip (OoC) and microphysiological system (MPS) platforms. A quadruple-stage train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaches a 0.04 µm final cut-off, five times finer than the 0.22 µm membranes used for conventional sterile filtration.

  • Quadruple-stage filtration system (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaching a 0.04 µm final polish
  • High glucose RPMI 1640 base (4500 mg/L) with 300 mg/L L-glutamine and 25 mM HEPES buffering
  • Formulated without sodium pyruvate and without sodium bicarbonate — HEPES-buffered for reduced CO₂ dependence
  • Endotoxin specification: < 0.05 EU/mL (LAL, USP <85>)
  • Manufactured under an ISO 13485:2016 quality management system with full lot traceability
  • Ultrapure Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm); ISO Class 5 (Class 100) aseptic fill & finish
  • Custom pH, glucose, HEPES and salt modifications available on request

Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm–filtered media passes mycoplasma-sized particles, subvisible particulates, and microaggregates that confound microfluidic assays.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

Four serial filtration stages — two dedicated prefilter/final-filter pairs — reaching a final 0.04 µm polish under ISO Class 5 aseptic conditions.

  1. 1

0.1 µm Prefiltration I — Large Particulate Removal

Removes large aggregates and debris; protects the first 0.04 µm final filter cartridge and extends its service life.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I — Sub-mycoplasma Polishing

    Provides a sub-mycoplasma (0.2–0.3 µm) filtration barrier beyond the standard 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive grade; a filtration-based control, not a per-lot test result.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II — Second-pass Redundancy

A second, dedicated prefilter protecting the second 0.04 µm final filter cartridge across the full batch volume.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; ISO Class 5 (Class 100) aseptic fill & finish. Final product QC release gate.

Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. For applications requiring the 0.01 µm cut-off, contact support@diagnocine.com.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ DCP-RPMIGH-PB1X and its use in OoC and MPS applications.

Yes. DCP-RPMIGH-PB1X is a Microfluidics Suitable medium engineered for MPS and OoC platforms. The 0.04 µm final filtration reduces microfluidic channel fouling, making it suitable for OoC, ToC, BoC, and LoC applications sensitive to particulate contamination.
FluxMPS uses a Quadruple-stage system (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2), providing approximately 5× lower particulate counts and 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration at every stage that standard 0.22 µm filtration does not provide.
This formulation is HEPES-buffered and does not include sodium pyruvate or sodium bicarbonate, giving you control over buffering strategy and carbon-source supplementation. Add sodium pyruvate or a bicarbonate buffering system to match your protocol; validate any addition against your specific cell line before use.
Not necessarily. This formulation is HEPES-buffered and free of sodium bicarbonate, giving reduced CO₂ dependence. Validate the appropriate incubation atmosphere for your specific cell line and protocol.
Yes. This is a basal medium formulation. Supplement with FBS, serum replacements, growth factors, or other additives as required. When filtering serum or protein-containing supplements, use a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF filter — never a 0.04 µm membrane, which retains serum proteins and lipoproteins and will clog rapidly.
Endotoxin is controlled to a release specification of < 0.05 EU/mL, verified per manufacturing batch by the Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) assay per USP <85> (assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL). Every batch is tested before release; a Certificate of Analysis is available on request.
Yes. CoA is available per batch upon request at support@diagnocine.com. It includes lot number, expiry date, pH, osmolality, endotoxin, sterility, particulate (USP <788>) data, appearance, and full raw material lot traceability.
