Description:

• Inactivates RNases in solutions to protect RNA samples from degradation
• Creates an RNase-free environment for RNA work
• Used during RNA isolation and purification procedures
• Can be added to solutions or reactions prior to adding enzymes
• Compatible with various molecular biology techniques, including:
  Reverse Transcription (RT-PCR)
  In vitro transcription
  Northern blotting

• Can be used on virtually any solution, including those containing Tris or other primary amines
• Effective for treating solutions that cannot be treated with DEPC
• Allows for storage of RNA samples without immediate processing
• Stabilizes RNA in solutions for extended periods
• Can be reheated after initial treatment to reactivate and eliminate new contaminants

• Non-enzymatic reagent that irreversibly inactivates RNases in solution
• Supplied as a 25X concentrated stock solution
• Creates an RNase-free environment for RNA work

• Requires heating to 60°C for 10 minutes to activate RNase-inactivating properties
