Anti-Dnmt1 (1037-1386) antibody, affinity-purified (rabbit polyclonal), ChIP grade

inactived-FNK-70-203

Researchers can use these antibodies and antigens for studying epigenetic regulation of gene expression, X chromosome inactivation, genomic imprinting, and development. Abberant methylation patterns are associated with certain human tumors and developmental abnormalities.

Diseases associated with DNMT1 include Cerebellar Ataxia, Deafness, And Narcolepsy, Autosomal Dominant and Neuropathy, Hereditary Sensory, Type I.

These antibodies have excellent quality and this highly pure antibody can be adapted for Western Blots, ELISA, Immunohistochemistry, Immunofluorescence research with optimization.

Description

Dnmt1 (DNA (cytosine-5-)-methyltransferase 1) has a role in the establishment and regulation of tissue-specific patterns of methylated cytosine residues (epigenetics). Hypermethylation in promoter regions is asssociated with repression of gene expression. Aberrant methylation patterns are associated with certain human tumors and developmental abnormalities (1, 2). This antibody was raised by Prof. S. Tajima of Osaka Univ. (3, 4).
