Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm-filtered media carry mycoplasma-sized particulates (0.2–0.3 µm), subvisible debris, and endotoxin variability that accumulate inside microchannels — corrupting biosensor readings, triggering inflammation in primary cultures, and shortening device lifetimes. FluxMPS™ addresses these failure modes at the source.

filter_alt

Microchannel-safe purity

0.04 µm final filter retains particles to sub-mycoplasma size; USP <788> Method 1 particulate compliance verified per lot.

target

Total metabolic control

A defined low-glucose carbon source, absent L-glutamine, and absent sodium pyruvate give researchers precise control over nutrient inputs for metabolic flux and Warburg-related experiments.

water_drop

Ultrapure-grade water

Prepared with Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm resistivity), formulated for low trace-metal and organic-carbon (TOC) impurity levels.

visibility

Low background for imaging

Ultra-low particulate baseline from quadruple-stage filtration supports confocal microscopy, live-cell biosensors, and TEER measurements. Note: this formulation contains phenol red, which absorbs in the visible range and should be considered for fluorescence- and absorbance-based assays.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), Low Glucose & 25mM HEPES w/o L-Glutamine, Sodium Pyruvate: 1X Liquid is processed through a four-stage serial filtration sequence — two dedicated prefilter/final-filter pairs — reaching a 0.04 µm final cut-off, well beyond what 0.22 µm filtration can address.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large particulates, cell debris and protein aggregates; provides mycoplasma-retentive filtration and protects the first 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

Fine particulate and bacterial removal; retains sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that pass through a 0.22 µm filter, delivering microchannel-safe clarity.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

A second, dedicated prefilter protecting the second 0.04 µm cartridge from residual particulate load.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill and finish in a validated ISO Class 5 laminar-flow workstation.

Performance vs. conventional media

Four sequential stages reaching 0.04 µm deliver approximately 5× cleaner media by particulate count compared to single-pass 0.22 µm filtration, with USP <788> Method 1 compliance verified on every lot.

Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), Low Glucose & 25mM HEPES w/o L-Glutamine, Sodium Pyruvate: 1X Liquid and Microfluidics Suitable cell culture media.

Yes. DCP-MEMH-QPN1X uses our Quadruple-stage filtration (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2), delivering ultra-low particulate counts that prevent microchannel clogging in OoC and MPS devices. This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off.
Standard 0.22 µm filtration leaves mycoplasma (0.2–0.3 µm) and subvisible particulates intact, which accumulate in microchannels. FluxMPS™ uses four sequential stages (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaching a 0.04 µm final cut-off, delivering approximately 5× lower particulate counts per USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration).
This formulation contains 1000 mg/L (1.0 g/L) low glucose and does not include L-glutamine or sodium pyruvate, allowing you to define your own carbon source and nitrogen supplementation strategy. Contact support@diagnocine.com for a custom concentration, or supplement L-glutamine (or a stable dipeptide substitute) and sodium pyruvate directly before use.
This formulation contains both sodium bicarbonate (2200 mg/L) and 25 mM HEPES for dual buffering. It is HEPES-buffered with reduced CO₂ dependence; standard 5% CO₂ incubation remains compatible and is recommended to support the bicarbonate buffering component.
Yes. This medium can be supplemented with FBS (5–20%), growth factors, antibiotics, or other additives per standard practice. When adding serum or protein-containing supplements, filter through a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF membrane and add immediately before use.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch, not per unit. Every batch is tested by LAL assay per USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test (assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL) and must meet the release specification of less than 0.05 EU/mL before shipment. Batch-specific results are available in the Certificate of Analysis from support@diagnocine.com.
Yes. A lot-specific CoA is available for every shipment and includes: appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), endotoxin (USP <85> BET), sterility (USP <71>), particulate matter (USP <788> Method 1), raw material traceability, manufacturing date, and authorized release signatures.
