Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm-filtered media carry mycoplasma-sized particulates (0.2–0.3 µm), subvisible debris, and batch-to-batch endotoxin variation that accumulate inside microchannels — corrupting biosensor readings, stressing primary cultures, and shortening device lifetimes. FluxMPS™ is built to address these failure modes at the filtration level.

filter_alt

Microchannel-safe purity

A 0.04 µm final filter and a 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive prefilter stage reduce sub-micron particulate load; USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration) compliance is verified per lot.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose w/o Phenol Red: 1X Liquid is processed through a four-stage serial filtration sequence — two 0.1 µm/0.04 µm prefilter-and-final-filter pairs in series — reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large particulates, cell debris, and protein aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

First 0.04 µm pass; retains sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that a 0.22 µm filter allows through.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm cartridge and providing full-train redundancy.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill & finish performed in a validated ISO Class 5 laminar-flow workstation.

Performance vs. conventional media

Four sequential stages reaching a 0.04 µm final cut-off deliver approximately 5× cleaner media by particulate count compared to single-pass 0.22 µm filtration, with USP <788> Method 1 compliance verified on every production lot.

Sterility assurance: Every lot undergoes 14-day USP <71> sterility testing. Mycoplasma control is achieved through 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration within the train (not tested per lot). No bacterial or fungal growth observed at release.
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose w/o Phenol Red: 1X Liquid.

Yes. DCP-MEMG-RN1X uses our Quadruple-stage filtration (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2), reducing particulate load relevant to microchannel geometries in OoC and MPS devices.
Standard 0.22 µm filtration does not include a dedicated 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive stage. FluxMPS™ uses four sequential stages reaching 0.04 µm, delivering approximately 5× cleaner media by particulate count per USP <788> Method 1.
Phenol red is omitted to avoid interference with colorimetric, fluorescence, and absorbance-based assays; HEPES is not included because this formulation relies on the 2200 mg/L sodium bicarbonate buffering system under CO₂ incubation. If your application requires a HEPES-buffered or phenol red-containing variant, contact support@diagnocine.com for a custom formulation.
Yes. This formulation is buffered with 2200 mg/L sodium bicarbonate and is formulated to maintain pH 7.4 under approximately 5% CO₂. Validate the exact CO₂ setpoint for your specific incubator and cell line.
Yes. FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose w/o Phenol Red: 1X Liquid can be supplemented with FBS (5–20%), growth factors, antibiotics, or other additives per standard practice. Add supplements immediately before use. If filtering a serum-containing supplement before addition, use a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF membrane — never 0.04 µm, which retains serum lipoproteins and IgM.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch, not per unit. Every batch is tested by LAL assay per USP <85> BET before release and must meet the specification: < 0.05 EU/mL. Lot-specific results are documented in the CoA, available from support@diagnocine.com.
Yes. A lot-specific CoA is available for every shipment and includes: appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), endotoxin (USP <85> BET), sterility (USP <71>), particulate matter (USP <788> Method 1), lot number, expiry, raw material traceability, manufacturing date, and authorized release signatures.
