MCAO Suture for Mouse 15-20 g, 3-4 mm Coating, Coating Ø0.17-0.19 mm, Tip Ø0.10mm, 50 pcs/Pack
Cat No.: RWD-MSMC19B100PK50
Description
MCAO sutures are designed for experimental induction of cerebral ischemia (stroke) models in laboratory animals (mouse and rat). These sutures use a high-quality silicone-wrapped nylon thread that combines soft tactile handling with sufficient wire rigidity. This enables smooth insertion of the suture from the external carotid artery, through the common carotid artery, and into the MCA branch of the internal carotid artery--minimizing vessel wall damage and maintaining vessel alignment.
Specifications

Features
Soft Touch & Rigidity Integration: Achieved through extensive experimental testing for optimal insertion and vessel navigation.
Flexible Nylon Core: Reduces risk of vessel perforation and improves modeling success rate.
Open-Molded Manufacturing: Ensures uniform suture height and stable experimental outcomes.
Cylinder-like Silicone Head: Promotes immediate blood flow decrease upon MCA occlusion for realistic ischemic modeling.
Super Smooth & Even Surface: Facilitates higher uniformity and stability across models.
Reduced Vessel Puncture Risk: Silicone-rubber tip lowers potential for vessel wall damage.
Benefits for Researchers
Reliable Model Success: Improved navigation and vessel alignment for consistent stroke model induction.
High Reproducibility: Manufacturing precision yields stable performance across experiments and research teams.
