Contains Calcium Contains Magnesium Contains Glucose Contains Sodium Pyruvate Without L-Glutamine Without Sodium Bicarbonate Without Phenol Red

A Microfluidics Suitable, high-glucose Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium re-engineered for microphysiological systems (MPS) and microfluidic channels. A quadruple-stage train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaches a 0.04 µm final cut-off, five times finer than the 0.22 µm membranes used for conventional sterile filtration.

  • Nano-filtered, microchannel-safe IMDM formulation engineered for microphysiological systems (MPS) and organ-on-a-chip (OoC) platforms
  • Quadruple-stage filtration architecture (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) delivering ultra-low particulate, mycoplasma-scale polishing
  • Endotoxin release specification < 0.05 EU/mL by USP <85> BET, supporting low-background live-cell imaging and biosensing
  • High-glucose (4500 mg/L) Iscove's Modified Dulbecco's Medium supplied without sodium bicarbonate, without phenol red, and without L-glutamine for full buffer and nutrient control
  • Formulated with Ultrapure Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm) to minimize trace-metal and organic-carbon background during microfluidic perfusion
  • Manufactured under an ISO 13485:2016 quality management system; final packaging and QC performed at Diagnocine Precision, Totowa, NJ

Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard 0.22 µm media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm-filtered media can carry subvisible particulates and mycoplasma-scale contaminants (mycoplasma range 0.2–0.3 µm) that accumulate in microfluidic channels, corrupt biosensor signals, and shorten perfusion runs. FluxMPS™ IMDM, High Glucose w/o Glutamine, Bicarbonate, Phenol Red is engineered for these microphysiological systems.[1,2]

filter_alt

Microchannel-safe purity

A 0.04 µm final-polish filter reduces the subvisible particulate load monitored per USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration), helping limit the microchannel accumulation and clogging that can degrade organ-on-a-chip experiments.

target

Total metabolic control

A defined, user-tunable carbon-source and nutrient backbone supports Warburg-effect and metabolic-flux studies where standard serum-rich media confound the readout.

water_drop

Ultrapure-grade water

Formulated with Ultrapure Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm), minimizing trace-metal and organic-carbon (TOC) background for consistent culture performance.

visibility

Low background for imaging

Ultra-clean, low-particulate fluid supports confocal microscopy, biosensor readouts, and TEER measurements by minimizing particulate-driven optical scatter.

science

Rich, stable nutrient profile

IMDM's enriched amino-acid and vitamin profile, selenium, and sodium pyruvate are released on a micro-batch basis for lot-to-lot consistency.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

The FluxMPS™ purity architecture is built around a four-stage membrane train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2), positioning DCP-IMDM-QBR1X as a ready-to-use, ultra-clean medium suited to microfluidic and organ-on-a-chip work at a substantially finer cut-off than conventional 0.22 µm media.[2,3]

Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. For applications requiring the 0.01 µm cut-off, contact support@diagnocine.com.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about DCP-IMDM-QBR1X for microphysiological and standard cell-culture workflows.

Yes. DCP-IMDM-QBR1X is nano-filtered to a 0.04 µm final polish and formulated with Ultrapure Type 1 water specifically to minimize subvisible particulates that clog microchannels and corrupt biosensor signals, making it well suited to OoC, MPS, and microfluidic perfusion. It is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm cut-off.

In DCP-IMDM-QBR1X, L-glutamine is omitted to give you control over your culture conditions. To adapt it, supplement with fresh L-glutamine or a stable dipeptide (e.g., L-alanyl-L-glutamine) at your preferred concentration just before use. Review the literature for the requirements of your specific cell line.
This formulation omits sodium bicarbonate, so the standard bicarbonate/CO₂ buffering is not provided; choose a buffer and gas environment appropriate to your system.
Yes. IMDM contains no proteins, lipids, or growth factors, so it is typically supplemented with serum or serum-free additives. When adding serum or protein-containing supplements, pre-filter them through a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF membrane; a 0.04 µm membrane is not appropriate for serum, as it retains immunoglobulins and lipoproteins. It also serves as a base for some serum-free formulations.
The release specification is < 0.05 EU/mL, tested per manufacturing batch by LAL assay per USP <85> (Bacterial Endotoxins Test), with an assay sensitivity of 0.005 EU/mL. Results are reported on the Certificate of Analysis for each batch.
Yes. A CoA accompanies every lot of DCP-IMDM-QBR1X with measured QC values such as appearance, pH, osmolality, sterility, and endotoxin. Request one at support@diagnocine.com.
