Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm filtered media allows mycoplasma (0.2–0.3 µm), sub-visible particulates, and microaggregates to pass freely — clogging microchannels, corrupting biosensors, and compromising long-duration perfusion. FluxMPS™ closes that gap.

filter_alt

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

A validated four-stage sequential filtration train reaching a final pore size of 0.04 µm — two dedicated prefilter + final-filter pairs run in series for full redundancy.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large particulates, cell debris, and protein aggregates. Protects the first 0.04 µm final-filter cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

Retains fine particulates and microaggregates, and provides mycoplasma-retentive filtration (typical mycoplasma diameter 0.2–0.3 µm).

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm final-filter cartridge and enabling full-train redundancy.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill in a validated ISO Class 5 (Class 100) laminar-flow workstation.

Performance vs. conventional media

By USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration), FluxMPS™ delivers approximately 5× fewer particles ≥10 µm versus standard 0.22 µm filtered media.

Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium/ Ham's F-12 Nutrient Mixture (DMEM/F-12) (3:1) with 15mM HEPES w/o Calcium Chloride: 1X Liquid (DCP-DMF12H-CT1X).

DCP-DMF12H-CT1X is Microfluidics Suitable and engineered for OoC, MPS, and microfluidic applications. The 0.04 µm final filtration removes sub-micron particulates and provides mycoplasma-retentive filtration that reduces microchannel clogging risk versus standard 0.22 µm media.
Four sequential stages (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) provide mycoplasma-retentive filtration (mycoplasma typically 0.2–0.3 µm in diameter) and remove sub-visible particulates missed by conventional 0.22 µm filters — resulting in approximately 5× fewer particles by USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration).
This formulation is manufactured without calcium chloride to support calcium-sensitive assays, cell dissociation protocols, and calcium-signalling studies where endogenous calcium must be user-controlled. For standard adherent culture, add calcium chloride to a final concentration matching your reference DMEM/F-12 formulation, or contact support@diagnocine.com for a custom calcium-containing batch.
This formulation contains 3070 mg/L (36.5 mM) sodium bicarbonate together with 15 mM HEPES. Based on the bicarbonate concentration, an atmosphere of approximately 8% CO₂ is recommended to maintain physiological pH; the HEPES component improves buffering stability during bench manipulations outside the incubator but does not remove the need for a CO₂ incubator during culture.
DCP-DMF12H-CT1X is a basal medium compatible with FBS (2–10%), human serum, EGF, FGF, VEGF, and antibiotics. Pre-filter serum and protein-containing additions through a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF filter before combining; a 0.04 µm membrane is not appropriate for serum or protein additions and will strip serum components and clog rapidly.
The release specification is < 0.05 EU/mL, tested by LAL assay per USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test (assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL). Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch; every batch is tested before release and must meet this specification. Lot-specific results are available on the CoA at support@diagnocine.com.
Yes — a full CoA per lot includes: lot number, expiry (12 months from date of manufacture), appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), endotoxin (USP <85>), sterility (USP <71>), and particulate testing (USP <788> Method 1). Email support@diagnocine.com.
