Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm filtered media allows mycoplasma (0.2–0.3 µm), sub-visible particulates, and microaggregates to pass freely — clogging microchannels, corrupting biosensors, and complicating metabolic assays. FluxMPS™ closes that gap.

filter_alt

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

A validated four-pass sequential filtration train reaching a final pore size of 0.04 µm, run as two dedicated prefilter + final-filter pairs rather than a single descending cascade.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large particulates, cell debris, and protein aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

Retains sub-micron particulates and microaggregates, including the mycoplasma size range (0.2–0.3 µm), that pass a standard 0.22 µm filter.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

A second, dedicated prefilter protecting the second 0.04 µm cartridge.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill in a validated ISO Class 5 (Class 100) laminar-flow workstation.

Filtration architecture, not a descending cascade

By USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration), each lot is verified against absolute particulate limits following the quadruple-stage 0.04 µm filtration train — a level of validation single-pass 0.22 µm media does not undergo.

Sterility & Mycoplasma: 14-day USP <71> sterility tested per lot. Mycoplasma control is achieved through 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration (not tested per lot). Mycoplasma organisms range 0.2–0.3 µm in diameter, above the 0.04 µm final filter cut-off.
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium/ Ham's F-12 Nutrient Mixture (DMEM/F-12) (3:1): 1X Liquid (DCP-DMF12-T1X).

Yes — DCP-DMF12-T1X is engineered for organ-on-a-chip, microfluidic, and MPS applications. The quadruple-stage 0.04 µm final filtration provides mycoplasma-retentive filtration and removes sub-micron particulates that can clog microchannels.
Four sequential passes (0.1 µm → 0.04 µm → 0.1 µm → 0.04 µm) provide mycoplasma-retentive filtration (organisms typically 0.2–0.3 µm) and sub-visible particulate control validated to USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration), beyond what single-pass 0.22 µm filtration achieves.
DCP-DMF12-T1X combines glucose, L-glutamine, sodium pyruvate, sodium bicarbonate, calcium, magnesium and a phenol red pH indicator in an ultra-pure, quadruple-filtered base to give you a precisely defined, microchannel-safe starting medium. Customize pH, nutrients, or buffers at support@diagnocine.com.
Yes — this formulation contains sodium bicarbonate (3070 mg/L) and requires an approximately 8% CO2 incubator atmosphere to maintain pH 7.4 (per Henderson-Hasselbalch); validate for your specific application. For CO2-independent culture, add 10–25 mM HEPES or request our HEPES-buffered variant.
DCP-DMF12-T1X is a basal medium compatible with FBS (2–10%), human serum, EGF, FGF, VEGF, and antibiotics. Pre-filter serum-containing additions through a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF filter (0.1 µm is appropriate only for defined, protein-free additions) before combining. This formulation already contains L-glutamine (474.5 mg/L); avoid re-adding glutamine supplements at the same time.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch, not per unit. Every batch is tested by LAL assay (USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test; assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL) and must meet the release specification of < 0.05 EU/mL before release. The lot-specific value is reported on the Certificate of Analysis — request at support@diagnocine.com.
Yes — a full CoA per lot includes: lot number, expiry, appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), endotoxin (USP <85>), sterility (USP <71>), mycoplasma control statement, particulate testing (USP <788> Method 1), and cultural response. Email support@diagnocine.com.
