UltraClean DEPC Treated TBE Buffer, 1X
Cat No.: DCP-TBEDEPC1X
Size: 500 mL and 1000 mL
Sterile; Ultrapure, Filtered 0.1-micron membrane TWICE and 0.04-micron membrane TWICE.
- World’s cleanest buffer for all cell and molecular biology experiments
Description:
DEPC Treated TBE Buffer (Tris-Borate-EDTA) is a nuclease-free electrophoresis buffer, specially formulated for sensitive nucleic acid applications. Treated with diethyl pyrocarbonate (DEPC), this buffer ensures the inactivation of RNases and DNases, making it ideal for both DNA and RNA analysis where enzymatic degradation must be prevented.
Applications:
- Agarose and Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis: Suitable for the separation and analysis of DNA and RNA fragments, especially fragments smaller than 1,500 bp
- Denaturing and Non-Denaturing Gels: Compatible with both types, including 7 M urea gels for RNA and DNA analysis
- DNA Automated Sequencing: Routinely used as a buffer for sequencing gels
- Running and Gel Preparation Buffer: Can be used both as a running buffer and for gel preparation
- High-Resolution Analysis: Preferred for applications requiring high resolution of small DNA fragments
- RNA Electrophoresis: Provides a nuclease-free environment for sensitive RNA work
Advantages:
- Nuclease-Free: DEPC treatment inactivates RNases and DNases, providing maximum protection for RNA and DNA samples during electrophoresis
- High Purity: Manufactured using molecular biology-grade reagents and sterile filtration to ensure the absence of contaminants
- Stable pH: Maintains an optimal pH of 8.3–8.4 (1X), supporting reliable and reproducible electrophoresis results

All DiagnoCine Precision Sterile buffers are filtered-sterilized with a 0.1-micron filtration and 0.04-micron filtration twice. Thus, mycoplasma contamination is prevented. The smallest size mycoplasma type can be about 0.2 microns.
