Stereotaxic for Small Animals, Dual M, Digital. (Basic module)
Cat No.: RWD-68804
The 68804 Desktop Digital Stereotaxic Instrument is an advanced, dual-manipulator system designed for high-precision neuroscience research requiring 10 micron accuracy in stereotaxic targeting. Building on the robust foundation of standard stereotaxic instruments, this digital system eliminates the tedious process of manual vernier scale readings through integrated displacement sensors and real-time LCD digital displays on both manipulators. The dual manipulator configuration (left and right) enables simultaneous bilateral procedures, comparative studies, or concurrent recording and manipulation—significantly enhancing research efficiency and experimental possibilities.
Features:
- High-Precision Digital Measurement: Features 10μm (0.01mm) resolution displacement sensors, enabling precise targeting of small brain structures critical for advanced neuroscience applications.
- Dual Independent Manipulators: Equipped with both left (68409) and right (68410) 3-axis digital manipulators, allowing for bilateral procedures, simultaneous recording and stimulation, or comparative studies—expanding research capabilities beyond single-manipulator systems.
- Zero-Reset Functionality: One-key reset feature eliminates secondary readings and calculations, allowing researchers to set any position as zero (such as Bregma) and then directly read coordinate displacement—significantly streamlining stereotaxic procedures.
- Electronic Interference Prevention: Battery-powered operation (AA batteries) eliminates electrical noise interference, making the system ideal for electrophysiological recordings and sensitive neurophysiological studies.
- Comprehensive Motion Range: 80mm working distance in all three dimensions (anterior-posterior, medial-lateral, dorsal-ventral), with 180° vertical rotation and 360° horizontal rotation, enabling access to virtually any brain region from multiple angles.
- Superior Mechanical Engineering: Dual-lead screw design ensures stable, accurate, and smooth manipulation with minimal backlash, preventing drift during delicate procedures.
- Temperature-Resistant Performance: Maintains accuracy and flexibility across variable laboratory temperatures.
- Anti-Error Design Elements: Features a unique anti-clockwise UP mark engraved on each knob to prevent incorrect operation, critical for experimental reproducibility.
