Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm-filtered media carry mycoplasma-sized particulates (0.2–0.3 µm), subvisible debris, and inconsistent endotoxin control that accumulate inside microchannels — corrupting biosensor readings and shortening device lifetimes. FluxMPS™ is built to address these failure modes at the filtration stage.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

FluxMPS™ RPMI 1640 Medium, High Glucose w/o Glutamine: 1X Liquid is processed through a validated four-stage prefilter/final-filter train reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size — addressing mycoplasma-sized and subvisible particulate that 0.22 µm filtration does not remove.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large particulates, cell debris, and protein aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm final-filter cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

First 0.04 µm pass; retains mycoplasma-sized (0.2–0.3 µm) and other sub-micron particulate not removed by standard 0.22 µm filtration.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm final-filter cartridge from breakthrough.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill & finish in a validated ISO Class 5 (Class 100) laminar-flow workstation.

Performance vs. conventional media

Four sequential stages reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size deliver approximately 5× cleaner media by particulate count compared with single-pass 0.22 µm filtration, with USP <788> Method 1 compliance verified on every lot.

Sterility & mycoplasma control: Every lot undergoes 14-day USP <71> sterility testing. Mycoplasma risk is controlled by 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration; lots are not individually tested for mycoplasma unless otherwise noted on the CoA.
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. For applications requiring the 0.01 µm cut-off, contact support@diagnocine.com.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ RPMI 1640 Medium, High Glucose w/o Glutamine: 1X Liquid and Microfluidics Suitable cell culture media.

Yes. DCP-RPMIG-Q1X is processed through our Quadruple-stage filtration system (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2), delivering low particulate counts intended to help protect microchannel integrity in OoC and MPS devices.
Standard 0.22 µm filtration does not retain mycoplasma-sized particulate (0.2–0.3 µm). FluxMPS™ uses four sequential stages — 0.1 µm, 0.04 µm, 0.1 µm, 0.04 µm — reaching a 0.04 µm final cut-off, with USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration) particulate compliance verified per lot.
L-Glutamine is omitted from this formulation because it degrades in liquid storage; it ships separately so users can add it fresh, typically to 2–4 mM (or as GlutaMAX™), immediately before use per their protocol.
Yes. This formulation is sodium bicarbonate-buffered (2000 mg/L NaHCO₃) and is designed to maintain pH 7.4 under a 5% CO₂ atmosphere.
Yes. FBS (5–20%), growth factors, and antibiotics can be added per standard practice; add supplements immediately before use. Serum and other protein-containing additions should be filtered through a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF membrane — never 0.04 µm, which will strip serum of proteins and lipoproteins and clog rapidly.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch. Every batch is tested by LAL assay per USP <85> BET (assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL) before release and must meet the specification of < 0.05 EU/mL. Lot-specific results are documented in the CoA, available from support@diagnocine.com.
Yes. A lot-specific CoA is available for every shipment and includes: lot number, expiry, appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), endotoxin (USP <85> BET), sterility (USP <71>), particulate matter (USP <788> Method 1), raw material traceability, manufacturing date, and authorized release signatures.
