Description
NIPRO CELL GATCH is an exterior pouch for cryotubes. During strorage of cells in liquid nitrogen or when thawing cells, damage of cryotube is one of the biggest issues as this causes contamination of liquid nitrogen. Moreover, infectious samples should be protected from such damage during storage and handling.
NIPRO CELL GATCH is made of special film, which is durable even in liquid nitrogen. We recommend all cryotubes to be stored in this pouch.

Freezing
1_ Put a cryotube into a pouch.
2_ Seal two points within two lines of a pouch by using impulse sealer. Be careful not to wrinkle the sealing side.

3_ Put pouches into a cane carefully not to damage. Using a cryo sleeve is recommended to avoid drop of tubes from cane.

Thawing
- Take a cane from liquid nitrogen and remove pouch carefully.
- Soak the whole pouch in a water bath for thawing. After thawing, cut the pouch with scissors and take cryotube out.
Cryotube with pouch stored in liquid nitrogen for a week. Pouches were thawed in 37C water bath and checked the damaged cryotubes numbers.
