Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm-filtered media carry mycoplasma-sized organisms (0.2–0.3 µm), subvisible debris, and lot-to-lot endotoxin variation that accumulate inside microchannels — corrupting biosensor readings, stressing primary cultures, and shortening device lifetimes. FluxMPS™ is engineered to reduce these failure modes at the source.

filter_alt

Microchannel-safe purity

0.04 µm final filter retains particles to sub-mycoplasma size; USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration) particulate compliance is verified per lot.

target

High-glucose metabolic support

4.5 g/L glucose supports high-energy-demand cell types including HeLa, MCF-7, fibroblasts, and iPSC-derived models in perfusion devices.

water_drop

Ultrapure-grade water

Prepared with Type 1 water (18.2 MΩ·cm) meeting ASTM D1193 / ISO 3696 ultrapure water standards, supporting low trace-metal and organic-carbon background.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose w/o L-Glutamine, Sodium Pyruvate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Phenol Red: 1X Liquid is processed through a four-stage serial filtration train reaching a 0.04 µm final cut-off, engineered to retain mycoplasma-sized organisms and subvisible particulates that a single 0.22 µm pass does not address.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large particulates and aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

First 0.04 µm pass; retains sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that pass a 0.22 µm filter.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm final filter cartridge.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill and finish performed in a validated ISO Class 5 laminar-flow workstation.

Performance vs. conventional media

Four sequential stages reaching 0.04 µm deliver approximately 5× cleaner media by particulate count compared to single-pass 0.22 µm filtration, with USP <788> Method 1 compliance verified on every production lot.

µm final filter pore size — sub-mycoplasma polishing
Sterility assurance: Every batch undergoes 14-day USP <71> sterility testing and must show no growth to pass release. Mycoplasma control is achieved through 0.1 µm / 0.04 µm dual-pair filtration (not tested per lot per USP <63>).
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. For applications requiring the 0.01 µm cut-off, contact support@diagnocine.com.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose w/o L-Glutamine, Sodium Pyruvate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Phenol Red: 1X Liquid and Microfluidics Suitable cell culture media.

Yes. DCP-MEMG-QPBRN1X is processed through our Quadruple-stage filtration train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2), delivering ultra-low particulate counts that help prevent microchannel clogging in OoC and MPS devices.
Standard 0.22 µm filtration does not retain mycoplasma-sized organisms (0.2–0.3 µm) or many subvisible particulates that can accumulate in microchannels. FluxMPS™ uses four sequential stages reaching 0.04 µm, delivering approximately 5× lower particulate counts per USP <788> Method 1.
These components are intentionally left out so you can control your own culture conditions: add L-Glutamine or a stable dipeptide substitute (e.g. GlutaMAX) at your standard working concentration, add sodium pyruvate if your protocol calls for it, add sodium bicarbonate if you plan to buffer with CO2, and add phenol red only if visual pH indication is required for your assay. None of these four components are present in the base formulation, so none will interfere with your supplementation.
This formulation contains no sodium bicarbonate, so CO2 incubation is optional rather than required. For non-CO2 culture, supplement with HEPES per your protocol. If you add sodium bicarbonate for CO2-buffered culture, incubate under the CO2 level appropriate to the bicarbonate concentration you use.
Yes. This medium can be supplemented with FBS (typically 5–20%), growth factors, antibiotics, or other additives per standard practice. If you sterile-filter a serum or protein-containing supplement before adding it, use a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF filter — never 0.04 µm, which retains much of the protein and lipoprotein fraction serum depends on. Add supplements immediately before use.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch. Every batch is tested by LAL assay per USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test (assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL) and must meet the release specification of < 0.05 EU/mL before shipment. Lot-specific results are documented on the Certificate of Analysis, available from support@diagnocine.com.
Yes. A lot-specific CoA is available for every shipment and includes: appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), endotoxin (USP <85> BET), sterility (USP <71>), particulate matter (USP <788> Method 1), lot number, manufacturing date, expiry, raw material traceability, and authorized release signatures.
