Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm-filtered media carry mycoplasma-sized particulates (0.2–0.3 µm), subvisible debris, and inconsistent endotoxin levels that accumulate inside microchannels — corrupting biosensor readings, triggering inflammation in primary cultures, and shortening device lifetimes. FluxMPS™ is engineered to address these failure modes at the source.

filter_alt

Microchannel-safe purity

0.04 µm final filter retains particles to sub-mycoplasma size; USP <788> particulate compliance verified per lot.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose & 25mM HEPES w/o Sodium Pyruvate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Phenol Red: 1X Liquid is processed through a four-stage serial filtration train reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size — two dedicated prefilter + final-filter pairs run in series, addressing mycoplasma-sized particulates and subvisible debris that 0.22 µm filtration cannot retain.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large particulates, cell debris and protein aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm final-filter cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

First 0.04 µm pass; retains sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that pass through a 0.22 µm filter.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm final-filter cartridge and providing full train redundancy.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill and finish performed in a validated ISO Class 5 laminar-flow workstation.

Performance vs. conventional media

Four sequential stages reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size deliver approximately 5× cleaner media by particulate count compared to single-pass 0.22 µm filtration, with USP <788> compliance verified on every production lot.

Sterility assurance: Every lot undergoes 14-day USP <71> sterility testing. Mycoplasma control is achieved through 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration (not tested per lot); no bacterial or fungal growth is observed at release.
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose & 25mM HEPES w/o Sodium Pyruvate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Phenol Red: 1X Liquid and Microfluidics Suitable cell culture media.

Yes. DCP-MEMGH-PBRN1X uses our Quadruple-stage filtration (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2), reaching a 0.04 µm final cut-off that reduces particulate load relevant to microchannel clogging in OoC and MPS devices. It is Microfluidics Suitable.
Standard 0.22 µm filtration does not retain mycoplasma (0.2–0.3 µm) or subvisible particulates that accumulate in microchannels. FluxMPS™ uses four sequential stages (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2) reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size, delivering approximately 5× lower particulate counts per USP <788>.
This formulation is HEPES-buffered and bicarbonate-free/phenol red-free by design, which supports assays sensitive to bicarbonate or phenol red interference, including Agilent Seahorse XF assays. Sodium pyruvate can be added at the time of use if your cell line requires an alternative carbon source. Contact support@diagnocine.com for a custom formulation.
This formulation is HEPES-buffered and bicarbonate-free, giving reduced CO₂ dependence. Validate incubation conditions for your specific cell line before routine use.
Yes. This medium can be supplemented with FBS, growth factors, antibiotics, or other additives per standard practice. When re-filtering serum-containing or protein-containing supplements, use a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF filter; do not use a 0.04 µm filter for supplements, as it will retain serum proteins and lipoproteins. Add supplements immediately before use.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch. Every batch is tested by LAL assay per USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test (assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL) and must meet the release specification of < 0.05 EU/mL before release. Batch-specific results are documented in the Certificate of Analysis, available from support@diagnocine.com.
Yes. A batch-specific CoA is available for every shipment and includes: appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), endotoxin (USP <85> BET), sterility (USP <71>), particulate matter (USP <788>), raw material traceability, manufacturing date, lot number, expiry, and authorized release signatures.
