Descriptions:

HEPES (4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid) 1M is a sterile, ready-to-use buffer designed to maintain physiological pH in mammalian and other animal cell systems. This zwitterionic buffer provides strong pH control in the range of 6.8–8.2, with optimal buffering near pH 7.2–7.6, making it suitable for media used in in vitro animal work.

Features:
  • Designed as an all-purpose biological buffer for cell and tissue culture media used in animal-derived cells and tissues.
  • High buffering capacity around physiological pH, helping maintain stable conditions during handling of animal cells outside CO2 incubators (e.g., dissection, perfusion, explant work).
  • Minimal interaction with proteins and metal ions, low UV/visible absorbance, and high chemical and enzymatic stability, supporting sensitive animal-based assays and imaging.
  • Typically used at 10–25 mM final concentration in culture media or physiological buffers to prevent pH fluctuations during animal cell manipulation.
Applications:
  • Supplementation of animal cell culture media (primary cells, cell lines, organoids) to stabilize pH during feeding, passaging, or extended handling at ambient conditions.
  • Preparation of physiological buffers for tissue slicing, organ baths, ex vivo perfusion, and ovary or gamete transport media in veterinary and reproductive research.
  • Use in in vitro embryo and gamete handling, where stable pH enhances oocyte maturation and fertilization efficiency in animal models.
Composition:

1 M HEPES

* All DiagnoCine Precision Sterile media are filtered-sterilized with a 0.1-micron filtration two times and 0.04 micron once. Thus, mycoplasma contamination is prevented.  The smallest size mycoplasma type can be about 0.2 microns.

* This product is manufactured under ISO 13485-certified and CE-approved facilities (Suppliers of DiagnoCine Precision). All final packaging, quality assurance, and testing are done at the DiagnoCine R&D and Quality Testing Center.  All specific customization requests and assembly were accomplished at DiagnoCine Precision in Totowa, New Jersey, USA
