Why FluxMPS™

Engineered where standard media fails

Conventional 0.22 µm-filtered media carry mycoplasma-sized particulates (0.2–0.3 µm), subvisible debris, and endotoxin spikes that accumulate inside microchannels — corrupting biosensor readings and shortening device lifetimes. FluxMPS™ is built to a different filtration standard.

Microchannel-safe purity

0.04 µm final filter retains particles down to sub-mycoplasma size; USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration) particulate compliance verified per lot.

Purity Architecture

Quadruple-stage filtration system

FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose, NEAA & 25mM HEPES w/o L-Glutamine, Phenol Red: 1X Liquid is processed through a four-pass filtration train — two prefilter + final-filter pairs in series — reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size.

  1. 1

    0.1 µm Prefiltration I

Removes large particulate, cell debris, and protein aggregates; protects the first 0.04 µm cartridge.

  2. 2

    0.04 µm Final filtration I

First 0.04 µm pass; retains sub-micron particulates and microaggregates that a 0.22 µm filter does not.

  3. 3

    0.1 µm Prefiltration II

Second dedicated prefilter, protecting the second 0.04 µm cartridge; not a polishing pass on Stage 2 effluent.

  4. 4

0.04 µm Final filtration II — Polish

Ultimate polishing filter; aseptic fill & finish performed in an ISO Class 5 (Class 100) laminar-flow workstation.

Performance vs. conventional media

Four sequential stages reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size deliver a substantially cleaner particulate baseline than single-pass 0.22 µm filtration, with USP <788> Method 1 compliance verified on every production lot.

Sterility assurance: Every lot undergoes 14-day USP <71> sterility testing. Mycoplasma risk is controlled by 0.1 µm mycoplasma-retentive filtration (not tested per lot); no bacterial or fungal growth is observed in the 14-day sterility test.
Grade: This product is Microfluidics Suitable, filtered to a 0.04 µm final cut-off. It is not an MPS Grade product — that designation is reserved for the 0.01 µm ultra nano-filtered line, which adds 0.02 µm and 0.01 µm stages after the 0.04 µm polish. For applications requiring the 0.01 µm cut-off, contact support@diagnocine.com.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose, NEAA & 25mM HEPES w/o L-Glutamine, Phenol Red: 1X Liquid and Microfluidics Suitable cell culture media.

Yes. DCP-MEMGH-QR1X is a Microfluidics Suitable product processed through our Quadruple-stage filtration train (0.1 µm ×2 + 0.04 µm ×2), delivering an ultra-low particulate baseline that helps prevent microchannel clogging in OoC and MPS devices.
Standard 0.22 µm filtration does not retain mycoplasma (0.2–0.3 µm) or many subvisible particulates that can accumulate in microchannels. FluxMPS™ uses four sequential passes reaching a 0.04 µm final pore size, verified against USP <788> Method 1 (light obscuration) on every production lot.
The 4.5 g/L (4500 mg/L) glucose level, paired with NEAA, supports metabolically demanding cell types including HeLa, MCF-7, and fibroblasts. This formulation does not include L-Glutamine; add L-Glutamine or a stable dipeptide substitute (e.g., GlutaMAX™) at the concentration required by your cell line immediately before use. For a lower-glucose or custom formulation, contact support@diagnocine.com.
This formulation contains both 25 mM HEPES and 2200 mg/L sodium bicarbonate. Based on the bicarbonate content, a CO₂ incubator set to approximately 5–6% CO₂ is recommended to maintain pH 7.4; the added HEPES buffering provides extra pH stability during bench-top handling outside the incubator.
Yes. FluxMPS™ Minimum Essential Medium (MEM), High Glucose, NEAA & 25mM HEPES w/o L-Glutamine, Phenol Red: 1X Liquid can be supplemented with FBS (5–20%), growth factors, antibiotics, or other additives per standard practice. When filtering serum or protein-containing supplements before addition, use a 0.2 µm low-protein-binding PES or PVDF filter — never 0.04 µm, which will strip serum of the proteins and lipoproteins it needs to function. Add supplements immediately before use.
Endotoxin is controlled per manufacturing batch, not per unit. Every batch is tested by LAL assay per USP <85> Bacterial Endotoxins Test (assay sensitivity 0.005 EU/mL) and must meet the release specification of < 0.05 EU/mL before shipment. Batch-specific results are documented in the Certificate of Analysis, available from support@diagnocine.com.
Yes. A batch-specific CoA is available for every shipment and includes: appearance, pH (USP <791>), osmolality (USP <785>), endotoxin (USP <85> BET), sterility (USP <71>), particulate matter (USP <788> Method 1), raw material traceability, manufacturing date, lot number, expiry, and authorized release signatures.
