Antigen Characterization

  • Type: Primary
  • Application: Western Blot,Immunofluorescence,ELISA
  • Species: Human
  • Recombinant: Yes

Human Diseases

  • Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2Z (CMT2Z): Mutations in MORC2 lead to peripheral neuropathy and central nervous system involvement, characterized by axonal degeneration and cognitive impairments.
  • Breast Cancer: High levels of MORC2 are associated with poor prognosis and resistance to DNA-damaging chemotherapy.
  • Neuronal Apoptosis: Involved in neuronal DNA damage leading to apoptosis, particularly in conditions like CMT2Z

Cellular Signaling Pathways

  • Involved in DNA damage response (DDR): MORC2 plays a role in chromatin remodeling and the recruitment of DNA repair proteins.
  • Adipogenesis and Lipogenesis: Functions in lipid metabolism and cellular differentiation processes.
  • Transcriptional regulation: Acts as a transcriptional repressor influencing gene expression related to stress responses and cell cycle regulation
