Description
Testis receptor 2 (TR2, TR2-11, DOR; NR2C1) is a members of orphan nuclear receptor. TR2 is expressed in prostate, liver, testis, seminal vesicle and kidney. TR2 activates the human aldose-A gene, also through a DR1 element. TR2 and TR4 interact together and form heterodimers. The human TR2 gene may express at least four different isoforms. The TR2-11 isoform is the full-size protein, whereas the TR2-5, TR2-9 and TR2-7 isoforms represent truncated proteins at different levels in the LBD.
Origin
Produced in BALB/c mouse ascites after inoculation with hybridoma of mouse myeloma cells (NS-1) and spleen cells derived from a BALB/c mouse immunized with Baculovirus-expressed recombinant human TR2 (4-110 aa) .
Note
Sodium azide may react with lead and copper plumbing to form explosive metal azides. Flush with large amounts of water during disposal.
