Description

Retinoic acid receptor gamma (RARg; NR1B3) is closely related to TR. RARs bind to two retinoids, alltrans retinoic acid and 9-cis retinoic acid. RARg is expressed in both adult and fetal skin. Along with other members of the RAR family, RARg is redundantly involved in vertebrates in the pleiotropic control of embryonic patterning and organogenesis, cell proliferation, differentiation and apoptosis, as well as homeostatic control.

Origin

Produced in BALB/c mouse ascites after inoculation with hybridoma of mouse myeloma cells (NS-1) and spleen cells derived from a BALB/c mouse immunized with Baculovirus-expressed recombinant human RAR gamma (2-88 aa) .

Note
Sodium azide may react with lead and copper plumbing to form explosive metal azides. Flush with large amounts of water during disposal.
